🧠 Why Does My Body Do This?
Your Core Isn’t Weak — It’s Disconnected.

Many people tell me:

“I think my core is weak.”
“I need to strengthen my abs.”
“I just need to do more sit-ups.”

But often… it’s not weakness.

It’s disconnection.

After pregnancy, surgery, injury, chronic pain, or even long-term stress, the brain may stop coordinating the deep stabilizing muscles properly.

Your diaphragm and transverse abdominis (TVA) are meant to work together with your breath.

When that coordination is lost:
• The ribs stop expanding well
• The deep abs don’t activate naturally
• Other muscles overwork
• Pain and instability begin

Rebuilding your core isn’t about doing more sit-ups.

It’s about retraining your nervous system to reconnect the deep stabilizing muscles of your trunk.

That’s what I focus on in my NeuroKinetic Therapy sessions — restoring communication before building strength.

If this resonates with you, you’re not alone 💛

Neurokinetic Therapy for Pain and Injury Rehab

Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) is a cutting-edge, research-based therapy that uses the latest advances in neuroscience to help people with movement disorders. NKT is based on the premise that the brain is constantly trying to learn new things and make adjustments to keep us moving smoothly. However, som...

Fibularis longus and brevis are the most commonly injured muscles due to lateral ankle sprain, ankle/hip and foot misalignment, foot injuries and weak hip abductors. Dancers, runners, soccer players injure their fibularis muscle frequently.
Walking or running on uneven ground can cause fibularis muscle and tendon injuries, and over time can cause overuse and misalignment of the foot.
Trigger points (TP) on fibularis can mimic peroneal nerve entrapment and ankle joint pain. TP can cause pain on lateral foot and ankle, and weakness on the foot.
Self-myofascial release with a therapy ball can help to reduce tension and release trigger points, but it wont' fix the cause.
Neurokinetic therapy (NKT) can find the cause of the lateral foot pain or lower calf pain by manually testing the overworking and underworking muscles and give you a customized therapy plan to fix the cause. To find out more, visit www.greatanatomytherapy.com

Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) is the best intervention to diagnose and treat muscular imbalances and faulty movement patterns, scientifically studied.
NKT is based on the premise that the brain is constantly trying to learn new things and make adjustments to keep us moving smoothly. However, sometimes, the brain gets stuck in old patterns of movement that are no longer useful. NKT helps to re-wire the brain so that people can move efficiently and effectively.
NKT can be used as part of a treatment for a number of conditions and injuries.
* Any chronic pain
* Plantar fasciitis
* Tendinitis, bursitis
* Jaw pain, TMJ, headaches
* Muscle strains
* Piriformis syndrome
* Pain associated with using improper form when exercising
* Pain associated with improper posture
* Scoliosis or any misalignment of the body
