Your pelvic floor symptoms often times are outside the pelvis first! Here are some things to look out for:

🚩Groin, hip, low back, tailbone, or ge***al pain.

🚩Holding the breath, sucking tummy in, pinching the butt or perineum

🚩Pain with sitting, standing, or movement.

Are these showing up as groin pain:

🧐 Pelvic floor dysfunction (which is pelvic instability)

🧐 Hip dysfunction (which is part of pelvic instability)

🧐 Nerve irritation (which is also a part of pelvic instability)

If this is you, send us a message to find out what you need to be doing!

You should worry about groin pain IF:

💥 It becomes persistent, progressive, or nerve-based.

💥 You have pain lasting longer than 4–6 weeks (needs deeper evaluation)

💥 There is burning, tingling, or numbness

Hope this helps!

Compression garments: good or bad for groin pain?...

This just depends! Sometimes the restriction makes things feel worse and sometimes the compression feels nice. But the most important thing to keep in mind is that:

💥 Compression garments are NOT a solution!

The solution is in proper mechanics of movement and biological breathing through Developmental Exercises!

The cause of chronic groin pain in women is often poor pelvic stability - not just pelvic tightness!

When the pelvis is unstable one of the first helpers to come into the picture is the inner thigh (adductor) muscles. Overtime this compensation creates an imbalance of inner and outer pelvic stabilizers. Clenching the perineum being part of this!

When this is the case, some warning signs include a history of issues in the:

💥Lower back
💥SI (sacroiliac) joints
💥Knees

Which of these do you relate to? Let us know in the comments!

Pelvic floor dysfunction is more about instability than it is about tension and weakness!

When you have an unstable structure the body reacts:

🚩The body tightens for protection. This compresses nerves and tissues.

🚩When one part tenses, other parts become underworked. This creates a coordination issue.

Make sure you're following me for everything you need to know about pelvic floor dysfunction and pelvic stability.

Relaxing the pelvic floor is not always the answer to pelvic floor dysfunction!

Trying to relax the area without addressing stability and functional coordination can actually result in more pain because there is a deep layering of compensation.

Which is why the first step must be biological breathing! This does not focus on stretching or strengthening, but restoring proper function!

And it does not stop there!

Comment "biological breathing" to see how that is done and use the link below to see my YouTube videos showing what else it takes!
