We began almost 2 decades ago as a single doctor practice, rooted in serving the basic needs of the pets in the community. The city of Irvine has grown a lot since then, and so have we. Our sense of community, however, remains the same.
We are still a locally owned practice. The owner, Dr. Cao, grew up right down the street (and his mom still lives there). He is a graduate of Woodbridge High School and UC Irvine. Dr. Cao left Irvine over a decade ago to begin his journey to become a veterinarian. After spending several years at an elite 24/7 emergency practice in Ventura County, he came back home.
Irvine Valley Veterinary Hospital now offers the best care for your pets going well beyond basic services. Our dedicated team of doctors and support staff are ready to help your pet from 7am - midnight, 7 days a week. We recognize that there is a need in our community for urgent care. As a service to our community, there is no extra charge for emergencies and walk-ins, no matter what time of day. On top of that, we have overnight nursing staff should your pet require hospitalization.
Our core value has always been, and will always be family. This includes the way our team works together with the unified goal of going above and beyond for you and your pet. This is why all of our doctors are Fear Free certified. We treat your pets like they are part of your family. Our family. We treat them with respect.
Every day we ask ourselves, “what could we do better?” We are always looking for ways to serve our community better. This is how we have grown into what we are today. We are your family vet, with 24/7 care.
