RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) is a serious health risk for babies and young children. It’s incredibly common – as many as 80,000 kids under 5 are hospitalized with RSV each year. About all kids under 2 will get it at some point. For many babies, RSV symptoms look like a mild cold, but some children get very sick with it.

Protect your baby during cold and flu season with a preventative monoclonal antibody shot. Since the RSV shot was approved by the FDA in 2023, Grace Pediatrics has not hospitalized a single child who has received the RSV antibody for RSV. Acetaminophen or ibuprofen? 🤔Every child is unique. Which is why I always recommend parents to use whichever fever reducer works best for their child.

Is your baby sick and suffering from nasal congestion? 🤧 The happy sinus massage is an easy way to help open up the sinuses, clear mucus, and relieve pressure.

What to do: Cradle the head and use your thumbs to gently stroke from the bridge of the nose out, following the sinus down.

Extra tip: You can also have a humidifier in the background to provide further congestion relief!

Whether you’re using a rear-facing car seat, forward-facing car seat, booster seat, or regular seat belt, it’s important to use the right option for their age and size. Make sure that it’s installed properly and ensure that all straps/harnesses fit snugly and correctly. Check the car seat manuals or ask a professional if you have questions.
