He has developed a national reputation with his dermatology practice, treating both medical and cosmetic patients, beginning in 1979. is a Board-Certified Dermatologist with over 38 years experience in Corrective, Cosmetic, and Surgical Dermatology. He is a training physician for Fraxel CO2 Repair Laser, Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, Dysport, Candela Laser and Radiesse. Dr. Pilest is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of California Irvine; Fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery; Member, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, Member California Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery; Member, California Medical Association; Member, Orange County Medical Association; Clinical Trials Physician for SDS Clinical Trials; Past President of the Dermatologic Society of Orange County; OC Top Doctor 2015 and 2016.
