A few weeks ago, a new acquaintance invited me to join her meditation call.

I missed it. Completely. I felt terrible—embarrassed, even—and assumed I had blown my chance at a new friendship.

But the leader didn’t react with frustration or judgment. Instead, she met the situation with grace—calm, coherent, and kind. She reached out separately, and we had a great conversation.

Her peace gave me space to see my own reaction clearly. Beneath the embarrassment, I found an old wound: the perfectionism that tries to protect me from rejection.

That’s the real gift of coherence. It invites healing where shame once lived. It helps us respond, not react. Heal, not hide.

Today I’m deeply grateful for the gentle mirrors who remind us how far we’ve come—and how much coherence and compassion can change a moment. 💛
