UC Irvine Brain Computer Interface Lab Welcome to the UC Irvine Brain-Computer Interface Lab (UCI BCI lab)! Our lab is currently recruiting

The Department of Neurology at University of California, Irvine is currently conducting a research study that explores the possibility of using brain waves to control a functional electrical stimulation device to help stroke patients improve their walking. The recruitment criteria is as follows: an adult stroke survivor, able to walk more than 30 feet without help (with or without assistive device), leg weakness. Participaction will be approximately 1-3 hour long visits to UC Irvine, 4-5 weeks of therapy, all over a time frame of 4-6 months. All activities will take place on the main UC Irvine campus, in Irvine. There is no charge for participation, and you will be compensated $100 at completion of the study. Anticipated benefits include gains in ankle/foot function and improved ability to walk.
