When we saw this letter, we knew we needed to answer the call! 1 in 26 people will be diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime, and epilepsy impacts more than just the individual - it touches the lives of families, friends, and caregivers.

As we come into the holiday season, we are especially reminded of the importance of being able to celebrate the season and provide memories for those children living with epilepsy and other health issues. So, as a clinic, we have adopted this little girl from United States Postal Service's Operation Santa so that she is reminded on Christmas, and every day, that she is more than just epilepsy. 💜

👩‍⚕️ Meet Tammy Trabosh, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC, CPNP-AC
Tammy is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Autism Certified Specialist with over 15 years in the medical field. She began her career in intensive care in Dallas, then advanced her expertise in neurology and neurocritical care at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami—one of the nation’s leading epilepsy centers. 💜🧠

She is passionate about providing the best possible care for her patients, working together with the family, and really listening to their concerns.

Tammy is especially dedicated to children with complex neurologic conditions like epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and autism, always aiming for the best outcomes through compassionate, collaborative care.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with her family, and caring for her three goldendoodles. 🐶📚✈️

Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. today announced that the Phase 3 Aspire study evaluating GTX-102 (apazunersen) as a treatment for Angelman Syndrome is fully enrolled, with approximately 129 participants ages four to 17 with a genetically confirmed diagnosis of full maternal UBE3A gene deletion.

“The accelerated enrollment of the Phase 3 Aspire study underscores the urgent need and strong desire for an effective treatment for these patients. Support from the Angelman syndrome community was critical to the achievement of this important milestone for GTX-102 with completion of enrollment in seven months. We are grateful to the study site teams, investigators, and families for their dedication and support,” said Eric Crombez, M.D., chief medical officer at Ultragenyx.
