Hello, to the almost 100 people viewing this page. I ended up not having enough space to continue the locals art co-op and zero waste/sustainability shop at the new location.
I ended up switching back to Restorative Bodywork LLC and focusing solely on that company.
After the not-so-friendly interactions with some small businesses & other people in town, I decided to move the business out of the area. Still in progress.
It was toxic to my mental health to run a business right next door to the 'competition' who ended up signing a lease in the space I was previously renting. After the landlords refused to resign a lease with me even though I had paid the rent in full every month, during the 12 month lease period.
I ran both Rare.Earth.Goods and Restorative Bodywork in that space for an entire year and was given pretty short notice that they would not be able to resign the lease to me.
I ended up packing up all 7 rooms, including the great big room with all the artists items, my massage room, etc. And packed it all up into two tiny rooms. One where I had a little room where I had my massage practice, where the massage table just barley fit, but didn't really have a comfortable expierence for the clients to move around the room. The other room was a hoard of all of the artists, crafters & vendors stuff where I barley had enough room to move around myself, let alone move inventory or be able to sell things online. I was pretty depressed in there the entire time I was running business in that new location, and not being welcome at the new sober space right next door.
I did end up attempting to give back all the artists and vendor goods back to their respective owners.
If you didn't pick up your items before I moved, please contact me. Thank you for all those who donated their items, you know who you are!!!
Thank you for the continued interest. If you're in need of a massage in the Upper Peninsula, please feel free to reach out and I can refer you out to another therapist in the area.
Entrepreneurship was incredibly isolating up there as a transplant, even though I lived up there for 13 years, so I am no longer in Michigan.
I still consider Michigan my home and will definitely be back to visit, but in the meantime I'll be switching directions in entrepreneurship.
Again, thank you for the interest.
You can follow the future endeavors on the Restorative Bodywork LLC Facebook & Instagram pages.
