Meet Michael Bastrom – Director of Social Services
With over 18 years of experience in social work, Michael Bastrom, LMSW, brings compassion, leadership, and dedication to every role he takes on. Specializing in crisis intervention, housing systems, and healthcare-based social work, Michael has spent his career helping individuals and families find stability, hope, and support through life’s most challenging moments.
His background includes crisis response leadership at Aurora Mental Health Center, managing housing programs at Emergency Family Assistance Association and The Action Center, and directing social services in skilled nursing facilities such as Renaissance Rehabilitation, Texoma Healthcare Center, and Remarkable Healthcare. At each step, he’s strengthened resident care coordination and fostered meaningful connections that make a difference.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys time with his family, outdoor adventures with his dog, and activities like skiing, snowmobiling, boating, and fishing.
