Why wear sunscreen in the winter? Isn’t that just a summer thing? Actually, sunscreen isn’t only for summer. UV rays are present all year, and they can be just as damaging in colder months!

- Intense Reflection: Snow, ice, and other light-colored surfaces reflect UV radiation, meaning skin can be exposed from above and below
- Skin Cancer & Premature Aging: UVA rays pe*****te deeply into the skin, causing wrinkles, sun spots, and DNA damage that may lead to skin cancer
- Thinner Ozone Layer: Ozone layer is often thinner in winter, allowing more UV radiation to reach the earth
- Higher Altitudes: UV exposure increases at higher elevations—such as ski slopes—increasing the risk of severe sunburn

Bottom line: If there’s daylight, there are UV rays—so daily sunscreen matters!
