Granger facilities will close at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24, and will be closed all day on Thursday, December 25, in observance of the holiday.

Residential customers with Monday - Wednesday service days will see no delays.

Residential customers on Thursday and Friday routes will be delayed by one day.

Commercial customers may see delays to their collection.

CBD Products & DOT Exam Certification:

Use of a schedule 1 drug by a commercial motor vehicle driver is prohibited. Ma*****na, of course, is a schedule 1 drug and, therefore, an individual who uses ma*****na cannot be physically qualified even if ma*****na is legal in the state where the individual resides for recreational, medicinal, or religious use. However, there appears to be confusion among other cannabis products, especially CBD oil.

Under federal law, products containing less than 0.3% of THC, the primary psychoactive component of ma*****na, are not considered a controlled substance; therefore, their use by an individual is not grounds to automatically preclude physical qualification. Ma*****na extracts containing greater than 0.3% THC are considered Schedule I substances.

The FDA does not currently determine or certify the levels of THC in products, so there is no Federal oversight to ensure that the labels on CBD products that claim to contain less than 0.3% of THC are accurate. Therefore, individuals who use these products are doing so at their own risk.
