✨ Friendsgiving for Our Grief Support Community ✨

This week, Hospice of Amador & Calaveras had the honor of hosting a Friendsgiving gathering for those attending our Amador & Calaveras grief support groups.
In a season that can feel especially heavy, we wanted to create a warm, welcoming space where no one had to navigate their grief alone.

Around the table, stories were shared, memories were honored, and new connections were made. There was laughter, quiet reflection, and a reminder that healing often begins in community.

At HOAC, we believe grief deserves tenderness, time, and support. We’re grateful to every participant who joined us, trusted us with their hearts, and allowed us to walk beside them through some of life’s most difficult moments.

Since 1982, Hospice of Amador and Calaveras has been working to meet the needs of those nearing the end of their lives. Hospice care neither hastens nor postpones death but exists in the hope and belief that through appropriate care, patients with life-limiting illnesses may live their remaining days pain-free and with dignity, and their families may accept and find their own new beginnings. Hospice of Amador and Calaveras provides the treatment and care necessary for physical, emotional and spiritual well-being, either at home, or in a board-and-care or skilled-nursing facility. The services we offer are covered by most private insurance plans, Medicare and MediCal, but we accept patients regardless of their ability to pay. *Be sure to shop in - and donate to - our Hospice of Amador & Calaveras Thrift Stores! Your donation is tax deductible and receipts are available. Hospice of Amador & Calaveras Thrift Stores are now open in both Amador AND Calaveras counties.
