This important initiative brought together volunteers from UMMC, CCRI, and health advocacy groups across Mississippi to provide free cancer screenings for underinsured and uninsured individuals. Early detection saves lives—and so does prevention.

See, Test & Treat

Join us on April 11, 2026 at the UMMC Pavilion (1410 East Woodrow Wilson Ave., Jackson, MS) for a FREE community cancer screening event.

This event offers free screenings for cervical, breast, oral, and lung cancer for eligible participants, along with health education and access to helpful community resources. Light refreshments will also be available.

This program is designed for uninsured and underinsured men and women who meet eligibility guidelines.

Last week, the ACT Center for To***co Treatment, Education and Research celebrated over 40 individuals who have committed to a to***co-free lifestyle during a pinning ceremony for the program’s graduates.
