We are in the midst of severe weather awareness week in Michigan, and tomorrow is officially recognized as the day for our statewide tornado drill. This test is voluntary, and is occurring at 1 pm EDT. During this time, some agencies may sound sirens, or trigger alerts on your phone. Check your local emergency management offices for details for your county or city.

If you'd like to participate, take a couple minutes of your day to plan a weather-ready shelter and kit so that you're ready to go prior to the next REAL tornado or severe wind/hail event here in Michigan. If you don't have adequate shelter at your home, set up a plan to relocate well in advance of storms entering your county. Severe weather can, and will happen any month of the year here in our great state, so it's good to be prepared year-round.

The holidays can be stressful, and the free ham drive-through gives people one less thing to worry about. So many grateful people, lots of hugs going around, and definitely alot of laughs. Hundreds of hams passed out to the community today. Thank you to all of the Garcia Laboratory volunteers and the Jackson Police officers for making time today to spread some Christmas cheer 🤗 And a huge thank you to Polly's Country Market and Walmart for their partnership!
