This week I worked with a mama who had her first capsules and keepsakes made by my sister inlaw, Susan. Susan helped me learn so much when I first started encapsulating placentas and I'm so grateful for her knowledge! 😊
She had a beautiful way of uniquely framing the beautiful prints she made for moms. So we worked together to make this one coordinate with her other print and choose the perfect fabric as that was a special touch Susan always added to her placenta art.

This mama had her very first girl after all boys and it was so much fun to do this for her!

A few weeks ago I started working with resin to create a variety of ways to preserve the umbilical cord into a beautiful keepsake. I am still learning and playing with different styles, colors, etc. but I think they're so unique!

Processing this beautiful placenta from another repeat client. 🥰

In the last month I was able to serve 7 families.

Next month will be 9 years since I started as a birth worker and the passion for better birth and postpartum I had then has remained so strong.

Thank you so much to each and every mama that trusted me with something so special.
I mean it with all of my heart when I say it brings me so much joy to do this!

This umbilical cord belongs to a precious baby girl who I had the privilege of seeing come earth side and into the arms of her parents.

This new mother bravely and gracefully worked along side the constant support of her husband to welcome their daughter. And that sweet sound of relief, a newborn's cry, and tears of joy as suddenly, there is someone new in the room... It's one of the best gifts this life has to offer!

I'm so thankful to this sweet mama for trusting me to serve her. 🥰

I dropped off capsules for two sweet mamas this week who had their babies one day apart. One being my birthday twin! 🥳

I think 2/22/22 and 2/23/22 are really cool birthdays and I loved creating these keepsakes for a repeat client! 🥰

Both if these ladies have encapsulated previously and the difference for one mama was, "Night and day" in comparison to not doing it.
I truly believe in the benefits and it was such a pleasure to do for them!

Reminiscing on this special day. I am so thankful for 5 healthy children and the experience of a homebirth. All of my deliveries were different. Making choices that were best for me and my baby at that time. What mattered most to me is that I felt safe and supported in what was the best way to bring my child into this world. And it is okay if that looks totally different every time...

Welcome February!

Thank you to the families that allowed me to serve them in January! It was a pleasure to start the year off helping fellow mothers.
