Subject: Expectations for Respectful Conduct Toward Clinic Staff

Dear Patients and Visitors,

Our clinic is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate medical care in a safe and supportive environment for everyone. To achieve this, we ask that all patients and visitors interact with our Nurse Practitioners, medical assistants, administrative personnel, and all facility staff with kindness, patience, and respect. This includes other employees of vendors working within the facility.

Healthcare settings can be stressful, and we understand that illness, pain, or long wait times may cause frustration. However, disrespectful behavior—including verbal abuse, threats, harassment, discriminatory remarks, or aggressive conduct—toward any member of our staff or others within the facility will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Every individual working in this clinic plays a vital role in your care. They deserve to perform their duties in an environment free from hostility or intimidation. Any patient or visitor who engages in inappropriate behavior may be asked to leave the premises, and in severe cases, may be subject to dismissal from the practice or involvement of security or law enforcement as necessary.

We are dedicated to treating every patient with dignity and courtesy, and we expect the same in return. If you have concerns, complaints, or feel your needs are not being met, we encourage you to communicate calmly with a staff member or request to speak with a supervisor so we can address the issue appropriately.

Attention patients- unfortunately the ice storm, loss of work days and staff illnesses have us behind on our daily tasks. Prior authorizations are prioritized by the staff according to the actual need for the medication. We recieve on average 50- or more every day. Effective immediately- please note it may take 7-10 business days for some of these authorizations to be processed until we catch up. Insulin, heart medication and blood pressure medication take priority. WEIGHT LOSS medications are the last priority. We realize that they are important however not life threatening. Please note we are over a week behind schedule on these PAs so give us time to complete. I know I answered atleast 15 calls today regarding Zepbound. This impeads our progress so bare with us while we catch up and our staff get well. We are working hard with less staff and a large number of patients.
