A LOT HAS CHANGED AT PATHWAYS since last May when we celebrated Mental Health Awareness Month.
Triage has been renovated and patients are back in.
The Inpatient unit has been renovated and some is still underway.
The Brownsville and Union City Offices have had upgrades and facelifts.
And the Main Outpatient Office on Summar Drive has had a complete makeover.
A key feature of the new Summar Drive Outpatient Clinic is what we are calling the Pathways Records Collection.
In our newly renovated lobby and hallways, the walls sing now.
To be precise, staff from Pathways chose lyrics from their favorite songs that speak to issues of mental health, recovery, and wellness. Those lyrics were turned into artwork and now hang on the walls of our common spaces.
And connected to each lyric is an essay that speaks to the singer, the lyric, and the work of mental health and helping, for our clients and for ourselves.
So this month, for Mental Health Awareness Month, we will be featuring some of these lyrics, the art associated with them, and the essay for more behind the music.
So stay tuned this month as we celebrate our staff and the music they bring.
And come by to see us sometime at the Summar Drive office.
