This Saturday we are excited to shine the spotlight on Gentry Cartwright! Gentry joined the Aspell family in February 2025 as a CHI-2 Case Manager and now serves as a Counselor in Madison County’s IOP program. From the very beginning, Gentry has brought compassion, dedication, and a true heart for service to everything she does.
She is genuine, kind, understanding, and always striving to grow, both personally and professionally. Her care for the individuals we serve shines through in her work every single day.
We are deeply grateful for Gentry and all the ways she makes a difference in the lives of others and within our Aspell community.

At Aspell, we take every chance to celebrate a life free from substance use—even if it means dressing up as a co-worker or dragon.

Halloween proves you don’t need a potion to have a blast—just a sense of humor and maybe a really great costume. Together, we crush our ultimate goal: living life clean, sober, and able to remember where we left our keys!

Since 2006, Aspell Alumni have inspired the entire community by creating a fun, family, and recovery-oriented event. Soberstock is more than just a gathering—it is a beacon of hope, demonstrating the power of unity and second chances. This collaboration between Aspell alumni and the community brings awareness to the life-changing, lifelong benefits of recovery from substance abuse and reminds us all that together, we can build a brighter future.

Recovery is not just possible—it is real, and it happens every day. Every journey is unique, but hope is the foundation for lasting change. For anyone struggling with substance abuse, know that there is always a path forward, and support is never out of reach. The courage to seek help is the first step toward a brighter, more fulfilling future. Together, we celebrate each milestone and embrace the promise of new beginnings. The clients we serve do recover, and once they put on their proverbial oxygen mask, they are eager to help others inhale the clean air of recovery.

We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support from our entire community—both those in recovery and those who stand beside them. Each year, Soberstock becomes a shining example of how unity, acceptance, and encouragement can uplift every life touched by addiction. The enthusiasm and turnout prove that hope is contagious, and together, we create a joyful celebration where everyone belongs.
