Healthy Eating Active Living Mississippi

H.E.A.L. Mississippi was founded in 2017 in a strategy to improve health outcomes in lower income areas across the state of Mississippi, especially chronic conditions associated with obesity. Obesity and the deadly diseases associated with obesity, are most prevalent in lower income areas and Mississippi ranks # 1 in the country in poverty and #2 in obesity. Poverty and obesity run hand and hand in Mississippi and H.E.A.L. Mississippi aims to stop this connection by providing affordable healthcare options to uninsured/low-income Mississippians living with obesity and its associated chronic conditions. Also by empowering all of Mississippi to live healthier more active lives. Follow us, share us, like us as we H.E.A.L. Mississippi.
