Working smoke alarms save lives. In a fire, you may have less than 2 minutes to get out safely and early detection makes all the difference.

The Jackson Fire Department has partnered with MI Prevention to offer free smoke alarm installations for residents in our community. If your home needs smoke alarms, replacements, or you’re unsure if yours are working properly, we are here to help.

It’s been a cold Michigan winter! Storing Naloxone (NARCAN) in the car may result in frozen medication that can’t be administered in an emergency. Science shows, however, that the medication is still effective after thawing. To thaw, let Naloxone sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
