Ella Louise West Brown, a lifelong resident of Walker Springs, Alabama was born September 8, 1929 to Reverend James Alexander and Sallie Gladys West. She made her earthly transition on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 while at Jackson Medical Center.

Ella Louise accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined and worshiped at the Saint Luke Baptist Church her entire life. She was the oldest member! Her favorite hymns were… “Amazing Grace and What Friend We Have in Jesus.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend James Alexander and Sallie Gladys West; her son, Bobby Ray Brown; grandson, Adam James Leggett; brothers: Alexander “Jack” West, Elbert Harold West, Alfred “Pete” West and Robert West; sisters: Martha West Davis, Mary West Lumbers and Geraldine West; and a sister-in-law, Anna Jean Perine West.

Ella Louise leaves to cherish her precious memories, to her children: Nathaniel West of Jackson, AL, Sharon West of Bronx, NY, Bernice Leggett of Walker Springs, AL, and Marvin (Carla) West of Summerville, SC; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; four brothers: Joel Columbus West and Charlie (Linda) West both of New York, Willie Clarence (Rosalyn) West of Fayetteville, NC, and Prince (Renee) West of Summerville, SC; and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The service will be held on Sunday Dec. 28, viewing will begin at 12noon til 1:00pm funeral hour at Saint Luke Baptist Church 1116 Saint Luke Circle, Jackson, AL 36545. Interment will follow in the Hotel Hill Cemetery.

Sister Dorothy Lee Jackson Bush, was born March 25, 1950, the second child born to the union of Mr. George Jackson Sr. and Mrs. Ora B. Jackson in Mount Vernon, AL. She transitioned to her heavenly home Wednesday, December 18, 2025 surrounded by her family in Mount Vernon.

Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age uniting with Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, AL under the leadership of the Rev. Bats. Presently, her membership was with Little Sunflower No. 3 Baptist Church in Sunflower, AL under the leadership of her husband, Pastor Lee E. Bush, Jr.

Dorothy was educated in the Mobile County Public School System, graduating from Rosa A. Lott High School in the Class of 1968 in Citronelle, AL. “Dot” as she is affectionately known, was a retiree of Gulf Lumber Company over a span of 35 years of dedicated service.

She was a former member of the City of Mobile Bowling League, and enjoyed fishing and going to church.

Dorothy was united in Holy Matrimony to Lee E. Bush, Jr. on September 20, 1986.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Jackson, Sr.; and her sister, Mrs. Georgia Hayes.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her legacy and her precious memories to cherish her loving and devoted husband, Pastor Lee E. Bush, Jr. of Mount Vernon, AL; devoted daughter, LaLisa Williams of Mobile, AL; two sons: Terris Wayne Johnson of Mount Vernon, AL and LaBarron (Tiffany) Johnson of Mobile, AL; four bonus children: MSgt. Derrick Bush of Pascagoula, MS, Jacqueline Bush, Lakeysha Bush and LeDamion Law all of Jackson, AL; seven grandchildren: Kiara Williams, Kyesha Williams, Kaylan Williams, Terris Wayne McQueen, Porscher Law, Tyler Johnson and Ajiyah Johnson; twenty-four bonus grandchildren and many, many great-grandchildren; one brother, George Jackson, Jr.; two sisters: Katie Bolden and Debra (Mike) Bush all of Mount Vernon, AL; one aunt, Edwina (Gregory) Hubbard; two brothers-in-law: Theodore Hayes, Jr. and Bobby (Angela) Bush, Sr.; three sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Daffin, Mary Bush and Janice Bush; two godchildren: LaKendra Leverett and Janeal Flott; devoted friends: the Rev. Jessie (Sis. Edna) Lowe, Jr.; favorite Deacons: Willis Collins, Clinton Collins, Sr. and Clint Brown, Jr.; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Brady Earl Kiel, lovingly known to all as “Sister Girl” was the cherished middle child of three, born on Sunday, July 14, 1946, in Clarke County, Alabama. On December 6, 2025, she peacefully transitioned into eternal rest at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital in Grove Hill, Alabama, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and genuine kindness that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her.

At an early age, Brady accepted Christ at Rockbar Baptist Church in West Bend, Alabama. Her faith was not just a part of her life—it was the foundation of who she was. Wherever life carried her, she remained anchored in her walk with the Lord. While living in Detroit, Michigan, she faithfully served as a devoted member of Christland Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C. L. Branch. Upon returning home, she joyfully resumed her membership at Rockbar Baptist Church, where she served faithfully under the leadership of Rev. Amos Hill until her passing.

Brady received her early education at Cunningham Elementary School and Clarke County Training School in Coffeeville, Alabama. A firm believer in lifelong learning, she continued her education at Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama, where she diligently pursued her academic and professional goals.

For 30 years, Brady dedicated herself to faithful service with the American Red Cross Association, serving as a Records Management Supervisor. She faithfully served her community. She was a member of the Jackson Area Rotary Club, Coffeeville One Community, Coffeeville Community Board, The Department of Human Resources Board and past board member of the Southwest Alabama Community Action Agency Headstart Representative for the Coffeeville Community. Her work reflected her heart—she was deeply committed to helping others and ensuring that people were cared for during times of crisis. Her compassion, diligence, and integrity guided her throughout her career until her well-earned retirement.

Brady was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Wylie Dewberry and Harriet Sellers Dewberry; her maternal grandparents, George and Connie Thomas; her parents, George and Willie Mae Dewberry; her beloved husband, Arthur Kiel Jr.; her sister, Dorothy Gilmore; and her brother-in-law, Travis Kiel.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her loving children: Eric Kiel of Detroit, Michigan, and Lakia (Willie) Kiel-Chapman of Coffeeville, Alabama; one brother, Eugene Dewberry of Conyers, Georgia; and one cherished grandchild, Crane Arthur. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law: Sherman (Gerald) Goodman, Linda (Arthur) Todd, and Wilma Kiel; and her brothers-in-law: John (Marion) Kiel and Richard Earl (Yolanda) Kiel. She also leaves a very special cousin and brother, Milton Thomas; her childhood best friend, Emmie Jean Calhoun; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The visitation will be held on Thursday Dec. 18, 2025 from 4:30 until 6:30 pm at Rockbar Baptist Church, 30365 Hwy 69 Coffeeville, AL. 36524 The service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025. The viewing will begin at 12:00 noon un til the 1:00 pm funeral hour at Coffeeville High School Auditorium, 22974 Hwy 69 Coffeeville, AL 36524. Interment will follow in the Kiel Family Cemetery, 1607 Fluker Kiel Road, Coffeeville, AL 36524.

Dorothy Mae Williams, a native of Gainestown, AL was born September 12, 1954 to the parentage of the late Austin Williams and late Sarah Williams. On Friday, December 5, 2025 she answered the Master’s Call.

Duke attended the Antioch African Methodist Church in Gainstown, AL.

Duke enjoyed life and loved spending time with her family. She loved fishing, cooking and dancing.

In addition to her parents, Duke was preceded in death by her special friend, Ray Jemison; two brothers: Tommie Lee Williams and Austin Williams, Jr.; two sisters: Sadie Williams and Claudine Williams; two brothers-in-law: Joe Allen Fox and Earnest Jemison.

Duke leaves to cherish her precious memories, a devoted daughter, Pamela (Eric) Robinson; three grandchildren: Nakiesa Williams, Eric Robinson, Jr., and Nyshay Robinson (Jalem King); two brothers: Jerome Williams and Irby Williams; eight sisters: Rachel (Vince) Robinson, Barbara (Michael) Washington, Laria Bell Williams, Mamie Williams, Augustine Williams, Luverne Williams, VanLee Williams and Gloria Fox all of Gainestown, AL; one uncle, Jefferson Williams; two aunts: Iver Lee Hunt and Minnie Clyde Simpson; a devoted nephew, Travis Williams; one devoted niece, Najaa Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; special friends: the Jemison Family, Maple Hunt, Rick Pritchett, Charles Pritchett, Ronnie Pritchett, Jimmie L. Brother Willie Frank Williams, of Coffeeville, AL, was born June 11, 1958 to the late Lewis and Stella Gray Cox-Williams in Mobile, AL. He made his earthly transition on Monday, November 24, 2025.

Frank was a member of The Union Baptist Church in Coffeeville, AL.

Frank was a loving, caring, and devoted son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Frank enjoyed cooking, listening to music and cheering on the University of Alabama “Roll Tide” and the Dallas “Cowboys” football.

Frank was a proud 1976 graduate of Mattie T. Blount High School. Frank was employed at Scott Paper Company in Mobile, AL. Frank later moved to Coffeeville, AL and became the” Master Chef” at “The Café Across the River.” Frank lived loud, loved deep, and laughed often. If heaven has a Barbecue pit or a record player, then rest assured he has taken over.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Williams and Stella Cox-Williams; his wife, Carolyn Williams; his daughter, Nicole “Niki” Williams; his sisters: Mary Louise Haskins-Ball, Bessie Highsmith, Willie Ethel Williams-Harbin and Sara P. Williams (Peggy); and one brother, Henry Lewis Williams.

Frank leaves to cherish his legacy and loving memories, his caring and devoted daughter, Erika Williams of Mobile, AL; devoted and loving brother, Riley Earl (Patricia) Williams of Detroit MI; four devoted grandchildren: Jayla, LaTerrence, Taeler, and Torrance; one great-granddaughter, MaKya; and a host of nieces, nephews, Godchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends.

SP4 Willie Frank Jackson, Sr. was born March 9, 1948 to the late Isaac “Buddy” Fluker and Viola Jackson in Franksville, AL. He transitioned on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL.

Upon coming back “home” in Franksville, AL, after many years of living in Chicago, IL, Willie reestablished his membership with his home church of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church.

At the age of 20, Willie enlisted and served a total of 1 year, 9 months, and 23 days in the United States Army, with 8 months and 9 days being active in foreign and/or sea service. He played an instrumental part in the Vietnam War. His military career ended with him receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Army Commendation Medal 1st OLC, as well as an honorable discharge.

He was well known for his auto mechanic abilities. He loved spending time with people that he called “family,” whether they were biological family or just friends that he felt were like family. He was affectionately known as “Jack” to some and “Good Bud” to others; although his children called him…“Daddy, Pops, and Old Man”.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Isaac Fluker and Viola Jackson; five siblings: four sisters: Betty Jean Jackson, Archie Koen, Veronica Ray, and Lee Helen Boman; and one brother, Walter Jackson; one daughter, Kimberly Pargo; and one son, Christopher Jackson.

Rosie W. Pritchett, affectionately known as “Sista,” was born Dec. 4, 1936, to the late Arvie Whitaker and Bill Washington Sr. Rosie confessed Christ at an early age where she was a member of Antioch AME Church. Rosie passed from life to eternity on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at her home.

She loved playing dominos and enjoyed spending time sitting on the porch with her family and friends. Well known by everyone as a mother-like figure, Auntie, Grandmy, Grandma and Granny of the entire community.

She was a homemaker and served as treasurer of the Usher Board at Antioch AME for many years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, A.S. and Bill Washington Jr.; two children, Mary “Liz” Mack and Marvin Pritchett Sr.; grandson, Adrian “Bom” Pritchett; daughter-in-law, Juanita Pritchett; and son-in-law, Clyde Mack Jr.

Rosie leaves to cherish her sweet, beautiful memories, three devoted daughters, Ardell (John) Hunt, Alice (Amos) Jackson and Carolyn Pritchett, all of Gainestown; one sister, Mary Williams of Bronx, N.Y.; 12 devoted grandchildren, 18 cherished great-grandchildren and four beautiful great-great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Theodore (Mary Ann) Pritchett and Cleon Pritchett; with a host of family, friends, relatives and numerous bonus children that she considered her own.

Public viewing will be Friday, Nov. 21, from 1 from 5 p.m., at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home, 203 East Ross St., Jackson, AL. The funeral service will be Saturday, Nov. 22, with viewing from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral hour at the Jackson High School auditorium, 324 Stanley Drive, Jackson. Interment will follow in the Antioch A.M.E. Cemetery in Gainestown.
