Earsell Fox was born on December 5, 1923 to the late Irma Hill Fox and D**k Fox in Clarke County, Alabama. She peacefully departed this life on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 3:01 P.M. in Mobile, AL.

At an early age, Earsell confessed Christ and united with Antioch A.M.E. Church, where she remained a faithful and devoted member until her transition.

Earsell was a woman of quiet strength, deep faith, and a generous heart. She loved to read, quilt, cook, and spend time planting in her garden and watching things grow. Her kitchen was a place of comfort and love, and she was especially known for her delicious fried chicken, cornbread, and collard greens. She had a special place in her heart for those less fortunate. Although she did not visit people often, she warmly welcomed many into her home, making everyone feel cared for. She believed strongly in the importance of education and instilled that value in her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Fox Sr.; her children: Elouise Fox, Maverick Eugene Fox, Beulah Mae Fox, Alvin Fox, and J.D. Foxx Jr.; her siblings: Jimmy Fox, Joseph Fox, Elisha Fox, Cleophas Fox, David Fox, Ora Lee Fox, Walter D. Fox, Willis Fox, Minnie Hunt and L.T. Fox; granddaughter, Veronica Johnson; grandson, Steve Fox.

Earsell leaves to cherish her legacy and loving memories, her children: Authorean Johnson of Philadelphia, Willie Fox of Illinois, Peter Fox of Decatur, IL, Ledell (Brenda) Fox of Bronx, NY, L.E. (Mary Fox) of Leroy, AL, Robert (Yana) Fox and Clausell (Carolyn) Fox both of Mobile, AL; one loving sister, Elnora Flinn; daughter-in-law, Linda Fox;
a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

Public viewing will be held on Friday April 24, from 1:00 til 5:00pm at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home. The service will be held on Saturday April 25, viewing will begin at 12:00 til 1:00pm funeral hour at Antioch A.M.E. Church 12906 Walker Spring Rd. Gainestown, AL. 36450. Deacon Woodrow Wilson was born on June 12, 1938, to the late Lenora Wilson Denton (Darvee). He was raised by his grandfather Dave Wilson in the Morning Star Community of Clarke County, Alabama. Woodrow was called home on Sunday, April 19,2026 surrounded by family after battling several illnesses for years.

Woodrow, at an early age, united with Morning Star Baptist Church. Woodrow attended church faithfully, and served as a Deacon until his health began to fail.

Woodrow met the love of his life and married the late Willie Bernice Foreman on May 24, 1960. Their love thrived for almost 45 years until her passing on May 14, 2005. To their union, they were blessed with five children.

Woodrow provided for his family as a devoted husband and father. He always held numerous jobs from working with Smith Lumber Company and other various jobs until he retired from Boise Cascade as a skilled forklift operator for over 40 years, until he retired in 2000.

Woodrow leaves to cherish his legacy and precious memories to, five devoted children: Mary (Robert) Davis of Whatley, AL, Mona (James) Brandyburg of Mobile, AL, Larry (Veronica) Wilson of Camden, AL, Barry (Barbara) Wilson and Tammy Wilson both of Whatley, AL; eight devoted grandkids: Tawona (Charley)Marshall, Santa Clarita, California; Misty Hodge of Hockley, TX, Roderick (Carloyn) Davis of Mobile, AL, Celeste Snell of Grove Hill, AL, Byron (Brittany) Davis of Birmingham, AL, Christina Jackson of Jackson, AL, William Brandyburg of Miami, FL and Tyler Champion of Whatley, AL whom he raised as his own; extended grandchildren: Raymond Blanks, Kelcy Moton, Marvin Ramsey, Sheldon Moton, and Terrence Moton; numerous great-grands that he adored; one devoted aunt, Minnie Clyde Simpson; one loving sister-in-law, Rosetta Henderson; one stepbrother, Eslie Jackson; two stepsisters: Ella Smith and Vanessa Jackson all of Mobile, AL; one devoted friend, Deacon Lorenzo King; his special and devoted friend, Ms. Willo Jean Coates; two devoted nieces: Genesis (Charlie) Pate and Glendora (Donnie) Coleman; two devoted nephews: Melvin C. Rosetta Johnson Slater, a resident of the Bladon Springs community, made her earthly transition on April 3, 2026 while at Mobile Infirmary Hospital. She was born on Dec. 19, 1940 to Mary White Johnson and L.D. Johnson in Koenton.

Early in life as a child she united with the New True Light Baptist Church in Koenton. Later, she met and married Jimmy Lewis Slater. Following their marriage, Rosetta united with the Antioch Baptist Church in BladonSprings. She loved cooking, doing puzzles, sitting on her porch and watering her flowers.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Jimmy Lewis Slater; grandson, Cedrick Slater; sisters, Charlene Williams, Nola Ree Williams, Mary Louise Rogers, Lula Mae Johnson; brothers, Earnest Lee Johnson, Robert Johnson and Joseph Johnson; sisters-in-law, Ollie Rose Johnson, Beatrice Rogers and Della Slater; and brothers-in-law, Theodore Slater Jr. and Frank Slater, Sr.

Allen Fitzgerald Horn was born to the late Mattie Howze Horn and Johnnie Horn Sr. on July 2, 1964 in Grove Hill. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and became a member of the Orange Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Grove Hill. On April 3, 2026, Allen was called home to receive his heavenly wings.

Allen was a graduate of Clarke County High School. He was a talented handyman. The kind of man who believed there was nothing he couldn’t fix with enough time, tools, and confidence. Family and friends knew that if something was broken, Allen would not only repair it but probably explain exactly how it happened and how he would've built it better himself.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Johnnie Horn Jr.; and sister, Agatha Horn.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, DeMario King of Jackson; three sisters, Delores (Brent) McCauley of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Venita Love of Cleveland, Ohio, and LaVenes (Johnny) Mitchell of Montgomery; one brother, Tony (Candice) Horn of Mobile, AL; three devoted nieces, LaChandra (Demetrius) Turner of Trussville, NaShetta (Jermaine) Rowell of Stockbridge, Ga. and Breanna Mitchell of Montgomery; a devoted nephew, Dieago Bernard of Grove Hill; devoted cousins, Vanessa Taylor and Curtis Dickinson; devoted friends, Leonard Martin, Reginald Pippen and Ava Ely Pugh; as well as a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Patrick Bouvier Jones, of Leroy, sadly passed away on March 22, 2026. Patrick was born Jan. 23, 1964 in Jackson, to Diane Jones and Joe Halloway.

He was a graduate of Leroy High School in Leroy. A man of creativity and passion, he was known for his work as the author of the book, "A Country Boy Will Survive."
With a deep love for the outdoors, he found great joy in hunting and fishing.

Patrick will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and free spirit. He had a heart of gold and was the kind person who would give you his last. He loved his family and was a great brother and a loving presence in the lives of those who knew him.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Diane Jones Yelder; grandparents, Henry "Dude" Jones and Ruby Franks Jones; niece, Teyonna Mone' Williams; aunts, Eunice Bettis and Yvonne "Mickey" Hershenson; uncle, Garylin Jones; and close cousin, Franklin B. Jones.

Patrick is survived by his brother, Brandon Yelder Sr.; loving and devoted sister-in-law, Shawntae Yelder; six nephews, Brandon "Bam" Yelder II, Franklin Yelder, Caleb Yelder, LaKeith Poole, Keslin Crayton and Jonathan Snell; one niece, Payton Morris; aunts, Joyce Jones Hamilton and Paulette Jones Manon; his father, Larry Yelder; close cousin, Valerie Hamilton; as well as a host of cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

Marcus Neville Robinson was a native and resident of the Gainestown community. Marcus was born on Jan. 27, 1989 to the parentage of Rachel Williams Robinson and Vince Robinson. He departed his earthly home on Saturday, March 28, 2026.

Marcus, was a member of the Gainestown AOH Church. He attended Jackson High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 2009. He loved hunting, fishing and racing. Most importantly he was a great provider for his kids.

Preceding him in death was his brother, Vilornda Robinson; grandmother, Sarah Williams; grandfathers, Clarence Robinson and Austin Williams; and nephew, Zylen Jackson.

Marcus leaves to cherish his memories his devoted parents, Rachel and Vince Robinson; grandmother, Callie Robinson; daughter, Nabrina Robinson; three sons, Maky Robinson, Mathias Robinson and Maxton Robinson; two brothers, Cruz Robinson and Mason Robinson; four sisters, Mary (De Mario) Jackson, Shaletha Williams, Taletha Williams and Mary Washington; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Martha Mae Brown Frowner, a life-long resident of the Manila community, answered the Master's call on March 24, 2026, while at Jackson Medical Center. She was born to the parentage of Bessie Hunt Brown and Freddie Brown in Manila.

She accepted Christ at an early age and united with St. Matthews No. 1 Baptist Church in Manila, where she was a faithful member until her health began to fail. In 1972, she united in holy matrimony to the Rev. Henry Frowner and to this union they were blessed with seven children. She enjoyed spending time with family and cooking delicious meals.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Bessie and Freddie Brown; sister, Emma Leggett; brothers, Horace Brown and Arthur Brown; and grandson, Fredrick Durgin.

Left to cherish her memories, is her loving and devoted husband, the Rev. Tykwon Latrell Armstrong, 21 years old, was born to the parentage of Tomeki Brown and Montrell Armstrong on December 15, 2004. He made his early transition on March 25, 2026 at USA hospital.

He attended Clarke County High School and was a graduate with the Class of 2023 where he played basketball, baseball, and football from little league until his junior year of high school. After graduating, he became a construction worker. Kwon was an avid outdoors person from a small child to an adult where he enjoyed building things, yard work, corn hole toss, welding, fishing, hunting, riding four wheelers and dirt bikes. Most of all he loved his family and friends and never missed a chance expressing his love and deeply appreciated the love in return.

He was proceeded in death by his great grandparents Wilbert Davis , Arthur and Georgia Yelder Sr., Miller and Arthur Tarvin, Della and Early Brown and his beloved aunt Diane Geagan and one Uncle Keith Armstrong.

Marion Louise Foxx Poellnitz, a native of Jackson, AL, was born February 1, 1956 to the union of Doris Dean Foxx and Marvin Foxx in Jackson, AL. She made her earthly transition on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 while at NYU Langone Hospital in Long Island, NY.

Later in life, Marion relocated to New York with her mother. She returned to Jackson, AL where she met united with Matthew Poellnitz, Sr. They moved back to New York and begin their life together.

Marion enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, reading, listening to music and being apart of the Senior Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris Dean Foxx and Marvin Foxx; brother, Rodney Foxx; grandparents: Ethel Glivens D**kins Dean and Vernon Dean; aunts: Retha Mae Dean, Mary Lee Dean Williams, and Inez Dean King; uncles: Warren Dean, Edmond Dean and Robert Lee Dean.

Dora Lee Lang Roberts, a native of the Cortelyou, AL and a resident of the Calvert, AL, was born June 2, 1955 to the parentage of Ethel Lee Norwood Lang and Reaf Lang, Sr. Dora gained her wings Friday morning, March 20, 2026 at 3:00 AM.

Dora Early in life Dora united with the Lewis Grove Baptist in Wagarville and later in life united with the Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithful member and served faithfully in the choir. Some of her favorite songs was, “Just Another Day That The Lord Has Kept Me” and “You Know My Name.”

Dora was a graduated of Leory High School Class of 1973. Dora's gifts and talents were many. To name a few she sang with joy, sewed with passion and always cooked with love. She was famous throughout the community for her pasta salad and peach cobbler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Reaf Lang, Sr.; grandparents, Jim and Ledora Norwood; two brothers: George and Reaf Lang, Jr.; nephew, Justin Barnes; brothers -in-law, Charles Barnes, Herman Ferrell and Purvis Barnes.
