April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), a time to center survivors, raise awareness, and deepen our understanding of consent and safety. This month, MCADV is bringing visibility to the truth that Consent Does Not Expire.🚨

Too often, harmful myths suggest that love, history, or commitment create automatic access to someone’s body, but consent must always be freely given. Sexual assault within intimate partner relationships is real, and it is often hidden within broader conversations about domestic violence.

Throughout SAAM, MCADV is speaking boldly, uplifting survivor voices, and pushing this conversation forward across our communities, because consent is not optional, it is required every time!

Join us on April 11, 2026 at the UMMC Pavilion (1410 East Woodrow Wilson Ave., Jackson, MS) for a FREE community cancer screening event.

This event offers free screenings for cervical, breast, oral, and lung cancer for eligible participants, along with health education and access to helpful community resources. Light refreshments will also be available.

This program is designed for uninsured and underinsured men and women who meet eligibility guidelines.
