Join us for a free Community Egg Hunt at Trinity Lutheran Church!

Saturday, April 4
10:00 AM–Noon
69 Griswold, Hillsdale

Michigan weather keeps us humble, so we’re ready either way: outside if it’s dry, inside if it’s wet.

We’ll have an egg hunt, a read-aloud Easter story, a simple craft, and Easter story egg sets to take home.

Bring the kids, invite a friend, and come as you are. We’d love to welcome you.

All are welcome

April is Autism Acceptance Month with Autism Awareness Day being on the 2nd. Why the difference in the title if they are supposed to be the same thing? Autism Awareness Month is what the original name was until 2011 when the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network (ASAN) designated April as “Autism Acceptance Month.” ASAN emphasizes the importance of accepting autism as a natural part of the human experience to foster meaningful dialogue. And for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, it's not celebrating World Autism Awareness Day, which has increased even more in recent years. ASAN recently created a book you can read called "Welcome to the Autistic Community" all about Autism. If you cannot get the book, it is on the website. Please go check it out!

Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) is a problem with the functioning of the nervous system and how the brain and body send and receive signals. The symptoms are real and can cause impairment in quality of life that is similar to and in some aspects worse than other neurological conditions. FND is considered as a rare disease, however, the exact prevalence is unknown, and the mechanisms which cause FND continue to be poorly understood despite its prevalence within neurological clinics.
