Pain Specialist Center

The Pain Specialist Center is led by board certified anesthesiologist Dr. Roy Schmidt. Some diseases produce chronic pain through an abnormal nerve loop.

These may respond to interruption of nerve pathways with interventional pain therapies and/or medications, which PSC provides. Working in conjunction with the Tennessee Hyperbaric Center, Pain Specialist Staff members provide both interventional pain modalities and hyperbaric oxygen medicine — offering patients alternatives that will best suit them. The Pain Specialist Center treats several conditions:
Back pain • Sciatica • Sacroilitis • Neck pain/arm pain • Head pain/ Facial pain • Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy • Shingles/postherpetic neuralgia • Myosfascial pain • Peripheral nerve pain disorders • Non-cardiac chest wall pain • Rib fracture pain • Phantom limb pain/ amputation pain • Post-traumatic pain • Post-surgical pain • Abdominal wall pain • Post-myelogram/spinal headaches • Some cancer pain
• Ishemic and vascular pain • Central pain • Spasticity • Pelvic pain • Other conditions
