Spring allergy season is here. Pollen from trees, grasses, and weeds can trigger sneezing, itchy eyes, congestion, and coughing. For some patients it can also worsen asthma symptoms.

There are still some appointments left for the Colorectal Cancer Screening with Cologuard. This is an alternative screening option for people who may otherwise go unscreened.

👉 Important note: This program is not meant to replace a colonoscopy, which remains the gold standard for colorectal cancer screening. Our goal is to offer another option to help increase screening and save lives.

📚 How it works:
To participate, you must attend a group education class at KCC on March 19th.
Two sessions are available:
🕛 12:00 PM
🕠 5:30 PM
📞 Appointments are required.

✅ Who qualifies?
• You must be 45 years or older
• You must be at average risk for colorectal cancer

• Colorectal cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in adults
• It often has no symptoms in early stages

Time change reminder. In two weeks we spring forward one hour as Daylight Saving Time begins. Yes, we lose an hour of sleep, but we gain longer evenings. Beginning March 8, 2026, sunset will be after 7 pm.

Sleep tip. Start adjusting your bedtime by 15 to 20 minutes a few nights before the change. Limit caffeine in the afternoon, avoid screens right before bed, and get natural light first thing in the morning to help your body reset.

You may have noticed a familiar face back at our Jackson office. Please help us welcome Sims back to Family Care. She has returned in her role as a medical assistant and is once again helping get patients ready for their visits. We are glad to have her back and appreciate the care and kindness she brings to both our team and our patients.

Get to know Sims a little better:

Jackson is her hometown.

She enjoys learning to needlepoint and helping others whenever she can.

Her favorite weekend activity is hanging out with her kids or heading to Oxford.
