Public health is sustained by community-based organizations. We are an integral part of the public health and health care system—and without our efforts, the world would be far less capable of addressing the public’s health.

In her latest op-ed, Dr. June Gipson, our President & CEO, speaks to the realities we witness every day and the systemic change we continue to push for. We know what our communities need because we live here. We serve here. And for more than 25 years, we’ve continued to show up.

“This work is not optional; it is foundational. And for many families, it is the only safety net available.”
