Today is Orphans and Widows Sunday! It is sometimes known as "Pure Religion" Sunday. Why is that? Because of James 1:27 -
"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world."

Did you know...

While an estimated one million babies are aborted each year in the United States (1), there are only 20,000 to 25,000 infant adoptions annually in the U.S. (2). However, there are about 117,000 children awaiting adoption in the U.S. foster care system (3). The government was never meant to take care of our children. We, the church, are meant to do this, and we each have a part. Which part is yours?

November is National Adoption Month! Did you know...

At any given time in Tennessee, there are 450 kids in the foster care system awaiting adoption. In October, there were about 8,048 children in custody of the State of Tennessee (not including children in the juvenile justice system), and only 4,526 licensed and approved foster homes in Tennessee. Salem Baptist Church in Trenton is hosting an indoor market on Saturday, December 6th to benefit Birth Choice of Gibson County! All revenue generated from vendor rental fees and food sales will be donated to our car seat fund. They need more vendors, so if you would like to sell handmade food, arts, and crafts at the market, please contact them by November 28th. More details are in the picture they shared with us!

What a great turnout today at our Adoption Agency Open House and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony! Thank you to everyone who prayed against the rain! We were so honored that AJ Massey, Madison County Mayor and Jackson Mayor Scott Conger issued a joint adoption month proclamation. We also debuted our *very popular* 2026 adoption calendar and 3D printed Christmas ornaments! Watch out for more info on how do order those items!

Today I was honored to attend a celebration at Birth Choice of Jackson to proclaim November as National Adoption Month.

I am thankful for the contributions of Birth Choice and their work in honoring the lives of the pre-born and facilitating adoptions.

See you tomorrow! We are monitoring the weather, but we plan to hold the open house regardless of rain or sun. Please bring an umbrella if necessary (it may not be necessary). In the meantime, we invite you to join us in praying against the wind and rain!

The community is invited to join us as we kick off national adoption month with our adoption agency open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony! During this special event, Madison County Mayor AJ Massey and City of Jackson Mayor Scott Conger will issue official adoption month proclamations acknowledging the importance of adoption in our community.

WHEN:
The program will begin at 1:30 PM with the open house extending from 1 PM to 3 PM.

WHERE:
The event will be held at our office in Jackson at 391 Wallace Road. Please park next door in the Woodland Baptist Church parking lot.

There will be tours of our adoption offices, clinic, and one of our mobile clinics. This event is free and open to the public.

Look at these adorable toys and baby booties that the inmates at the Whiteville Correctional Facility made by hand! James Bailey, the principal at the facility, dropped them off this afternoon. These men have become a blessing to our moms and babies by making something so beautiful for them. These gifts are really great quality, too! We are so grateful for the inmates and this incredible program that treats these men with dignity and teaches them a valuable skill!

“Hazel” was, in her own words, “afraid of the struggle.” A single woman with a career and children, she found herself unexpectedly pregnant and facing a life-altering decision. The decision of what to do about her pregnancy wasn’t the only thing she faced – she also faced pressure. Her boyfriend wanted her to have an abortion.

Hazel had come to Birth Choice before for previous pregnancies, so thankfully, she knew a safe and caring place to find support and process her thoughts. She walked into our clinic one morning a few weeks ago, and thanks to God’s providence, we had room in our schedule to see her right away.

We believe that each appointment at Birth Choice is a divine appointment, and God, in His infinite wisdom, orchestrates the advocates and nurses who minister to these beautiful young women. Pat is the advocate who cared for Hazel that day. Pat listened, empowered Hazel with accurate information about her pregnancy options, answered her questions, and shared how we can support her and her baby.

Most importantly, Pat shared the grace of Jesus. When Hazel left, she still wasn’t sure what she would decide, but by the time she came back the next week for her free ultrasound, she had chosen to give life to her little one.
