Getting ready for the 2026 Heirloom Plant Sale? We are too—with a little help from wurmworks ! 🌱

Locals may know Matt as the “compost guy” from his stand at the Mississippi Farmers Market, but Wurmworks also works with us to support the Welty Garden. Along with providing nutrient-rich plant food for our living historic artifacts, Matt helps “babysit” young seedlings and propagates as they grow strong enough to join the Welty Garden or find their way home with you at the sale.

Stop by the Wurmworks stand at the Mississippi Farmers Market on Saturdays from 8 a.m.–1 p.m. to get your garden ready for the season, and join us for our Annual Heirloom Plant Sale on Saturday, March 28, from 9 a.m.–noon. 🌿

Don’t let Spring sneak up on you this year! Now is the perfect time to feed your houseplants, yard and garden to get ready for all the beauty of Spring that is on the way. Come see us at the from 8am to 1pm tomorrow to get all the plant food you need made right here in by WORMS 🪱🪱🪱 You can also order on our website for pick up or delivery. We already have a variety of plants available that are ready to go home to grow with you, whether it be in your home or garden. We hope to see you this weekend!

Also, make some time to walk among the Srpingtime blooms this weekend, if you can. We suggest going to see our friends at the to see their beautiful garden already bursting with life. Spring awakening is always our favorite time at the worm farm, and we would love to make it your favorite time too!

Did you know worms lay eggs??! 🪱🥚

You read that right, our composting earthworms lay eggs or cocoons. They are about the size of a strawberry seed and are typically home to 2-7 babies. Who knew earthworms and chickens would actually have something in common!

Visit our booth every Saturday from 8-1 to find out the other way worms and chickens are alike and grab some of that good wurm poop.🪱🐔❤️

As the days grow longer with winter still in charge, we are working hard to bring y’all the next phase of our little farm and nursery. Thanks so much for your support- we love serving y’all! Hope to see you in 2026, starting January 10th from 8-1 for 50 straight weeks!

Y’all please give it up for our partner 👏🎉

We have been lucky enough to grow alongside them for years now. We love the bagels, specialty sourdough, and all the sweets (especially the espresso brownie!). We also have replaced ultra-processed triscuits with bagels chips y’all, uh-mazing! Pre-order online or just come see us on High Street Saturdays 8-1!
