UMMC Orthopaedics would like to welcome Dr. James Woodall Jr. to our team!

Dr Woodall is an alumnus of our UMMC Orthopaedics residency program and completed his subspecialty training in Spine Surgery at Stanford University Hospital. He has over a decade of practice experience treating a wide range of Spine conditions and specializing in minimal invasive surgical treatment of Spinal deformities.

We are excited to have Dr. Woodall join our team at UMMC Orthopaedics! He is currently accepting new patients at our Colony Park South Location in Ridgeland, MS. For appointments/referrals, please call 601-984-6525!

Please join us for the annual Sarcoma Strong Virtual 5k (Run/Walk). The virtual run allows you to perform the 5k Run/Walk at your leisure the weekend of August 8-August 12.

Sarcoma Strong is an organization that was started by Dr. Matthew DiCaprio. The organization is dedicated to raising sarcoma awareness, advocating for sarcoma families, and raising funds for research.

We are proud to celebrate Dr. Botha Chrea, former UMMC Orthopedic resident, on receiving the prestigious 2025 Inherited Neuropathy Fellowship from the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association!

Now an orthopedic surgeon at the University of Iowa, Dr. Chrea is focusing her research on improving outcomes for individuals with CMT, particularly in foot and ankle mobility and surgical care.

Her dedication to advancing patient-centered research and care is an inspiration to us all. Congrats, Dr. Chrea!!
