Happy First Day of Spring! 🌸

There is something especially meaningful about the spring equinox. It marks that turning point when we begin moving into a season of more light. After a long winter, that return of light can feel genuinely uplifting.

In the natural world, it is a shift in rhythm and balance. It can feel like an invitation to begin again. The season changes in ways we can measure, and it also stirs something hopeful and symbolic within us.

Spring can feel fresh, beautiful, and full of possibility. And still, even this delightful season can bring stress.

Along with the flowers and sunshine, spring can also come with schedule changes, holidays, travel planning, work or business pressure, and sometimes that sense that we “should” suddenly have more energy, be more social, or make sweeping progress on our goals simply because the weather improved.

That is why I wanted to remind you about a hopefully helpful podcast episode from the PsycHope archives: Your DOSE of Stress Relief for Spring 🎧

In that episode, I explore simple, realistic ways to work with your brain’s natural feel good chemistry, Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, and Endorphins, to support stress relief and mind, body, spirit well-being during the spring season. This episode is also accompanied by complimentary DOSE resources created to support you throughout the season.

🎧 You can find how to listen to this episode in the Pod Archives story highlights.

📝 Check out the DOSE story highlights for the DOSE Reflect & Respond Checklist and the DOSE of Spring Inspiration handout.

I hope these resources support you as you step into both the delights and demands of spring.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from PsycHope 🍀🌈

Today I’m thinking of these words from one of my favorite Irish poets, W.B. Yeats: “And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow.”

This line is a tender reminder of the path peace often takes. It gathers quietly, in soft breaths and gentle moments of return.

Wishing you luck today and peace finding its way back to you, in sacred little drops.

Today is International Women’s Day, a day to honor women’s achievements, raise awareness about gender equality, and support positive change.

At PsycHope, we also make space for the quieter achievements of women, the ones that may never make headlines, but still matter deeply. The healing work, the boundaries, the courage to begin again, and the ways women keep going when so much of what they carry remains unseen.

In that spirit, a new episode of the PsycHope Self-Help Podcast is now live: Give to Gain: Honoring Women on International Women’s Day.

In this episode, we reflect on women’s mental health, gender equality, and what women can gain when they give themselves stress relief, self-care, and self-compassion. Because when women are supported inwardly, the gains often reach outward too, shaping how they care for themselves, relate to others, and move through the world.

If your heart has been feeling heavy lately, you are not alone.

When the hard updates never seem to stop, self-care can start to feel optional, or even selfish. It can show up in the little ways. Like, doomscrolling when you need to rest, sleeping poorly, maybe even feeling more reactive.

Your mind and body are doing their best with a whole lot to process.

In the latest episode of the PsycHope Self-Help Podcast, we explore why self-care is a basic human requirement, especially now. That’s because it protects your peace and supports your capacity to live in alignment with your values.

You’ll also hear a few micro self-care practices you can try right away, including news consumption boundaries and bloomscrolling, doomscrolling’s optimistic, glimmer-seeking cousin.

This episode is live now, Self-Care: Why It Matters When Hearts Are Heavy.
