🌊 Ruby Beach Roll Call: Meet Tessa! 🌊
This month, we’re spotlighting Tessa, a dedicated fieldwork student whose passion for helping others and love of learning make her an incredible part of our Ruby Beach team.
✨ Why ABA?
Tessa was drawn to ABA for its “structured, evidence-based approach to helping individuals grow and succeed.” She’s always been fascinated by human behavior, but what truly inspired her was seeing the difference ABA can make in real life. “Working in a clinic setting gives me the chance to see progress firsthand and be a consistent part of someone’s developmental journey.”
✨ What Makes Ruby Beach Special?
For Tessa, it’s all about the team culture and supportive environment. “The clinic is fast-paced but incredibly collaborative,” she shares. What sets the fieldwork program apart, in her view, is the balance between structure and independence. “We’re given real responsibilities with clients, but never without guidance.”
✨ Advice
When asked what advice she’d give to new RBTs or fieldwork students, Tessa says: “Stay curious and open to feedback.” She believes growth comes from asking questions, taking constructive criticism, and reflecting after each session. “It’s okay to not know everything; what matters is that you’re always learning and focused on what’s best for the client.”
