This Friday we will have a delicious chicken noodle soup w/roll for our weekly soup drive through. We hope to see you! If you live within the city limits of Jacksonville and are unable to make it over, please call ahead 217-602-0930 and we can deliver it to you!
Each person who drives through will also be given an entry for a special drawing at the end of the month!

Today we participated in the Illinois College homecoming parade!! This is Jacksonville’s Bicentennial year so the theme was surrounding the celebration. We like cake here at The Pointe, so we made one big enough to rise to the occasion! 🎂
There is still a lot to do downtown today, so come join the Jacksonville Illinois Bicentennial events.
A huge thank you to the parade crew and residents who joined us on this adventure this morning. 🎉

Change of facility name and ownership

The Supportive Living Facility located at 20 Jacksonville Place, a block south from Passavant hospital in Jacksonville Illinois, will no longer be known as Knollwood Retirement Community. Alice Hulvey, the new marketing director for what is now called, The Pointe at Jacksonville, recently announced the facility is under new ownership.

“I want the citizens of Morgan county and surrounding communities to know that we are making some positive changes and that we have availability. I want to make sure the facilities reputation is good and that everyone is doing their job and that our residents are as comfortable as possible.”

The new owner of the facility, Michael Stein, also owns homes in Morris, Crestwood and Pontiac. “Mr. Stein genuinely cares for the residents in his homes and their comfort and quality of life.”

The hope is that people will recognize and appreciate the changes being implemented. Some of the most recent changes include updates to the dining experience with ‘restaurant style dining’, renovations to update apartments and more community outings for our residents.
