We’re so grateful to be a Step Into Swim grant recipient for the second year in a row!

Through this grant, we are able to provide learn to swim instruction and water safety training to children with disabilities through our aquatic therapy and adaptive swim programs.

Eligible children cannot be receiving any other scholarships or outside funding, making this grant so needed for those in the public schools system who are not able to access the voucher. Step Into Swim has helped us fill in the void and provide access to all who need it. We are so thankful for your generosity ❤️

November is a time to reflect and give thanks for the many blessings around us. Some in our community may be going through a hard time due to the loss of SNAP benefits, the loss of a job, or simply because that is their norm. We wanted to organize a food drive to support a local food pantry in Jacksonville to make sure they continue to have plenty of supplies for those who are in need.

From today, November 3rd to November 26th, we will be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to the food pantry at St. Mary's Episcopal Church. For every 5 items donated, your name will be entered for a chance to win a $100 gift card to the grocery store of your choice. The drawing will take place on Thanksgiving Day.

Please take a look at the list for their most needed items. Pop tops are preferred for all canned goods. Drop off items at the Atlas pool Monday-Friday, or Divers Supply on Tuesday afternoons only.

Thank you all for opening up your hearts to others as you have opened up your hearts to us. I am thankful for this loving and giving community we have built.

We have a new member of the Jax Kids Aquatics family. Join us in welcoming Lori Donaldson!

Lori is a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with over 25 years of experience working with children of all ages. She recently moved to Saint Johns County from the Tampa Bay Area where she was working in a pediatric outpatient clinic. It is here where she started developing her own summer aquatics program to allow kids to have the benefits of aqua therapy. She is thrilled to continue working in aquatics here in Jacksonville and loves helping kids be water safe. Lori likes providing kids with a fun environment for growth in endurance, strength, balance and coordination. When she herself is not exercising in the water, Lori loves spending time with her two adult children and her cat “Scotty.”

Lori will be assisting Ashley with aquatic physical therapy treatments, aquatic groups, and adaptive swim lessons. We are so glad to have you as part of the team Lori!

We are so grateful to announce that Jax Kids Aquatics was a recipient of the HEAL Foundation Grant. We were able to purchase life jackets and two Kyrios Suits to use in our aquatic therapy and adaptive swim lessons. A portion of the funding will be used to cover in-person language interpretation poolside. This helps us to further our mission in making water safety and adaptive swim education inclusive to all families. Thank you so much to HEAL Foundation for choosing Jax Kids Aquatics as a grant recipient and allowing us to further help our community.

We had a great day at the City of Jacksonville’s Disability Expo today! Our friends Bob and Mike from Divers Supply Jacksonville, as well as Kacey from Eisenhower Jacksonville, were able to spread the word about the Scubility program and adaptive diving. It was fun meeting so many new people and talking with some sweet kids about how much they love to swim!
