This week, we’re highlighting the importance of routine and today we go more into the health benefits of establishing a routine.
If you suffer from stress, poor sleep, poor eating, and/or ineffective use of time, establishing a routine can assist in relieving some of those stresses.
Routines can be fun and what works best for you! Establishing a routine that fits your schedule will lead to improved mental health, more time to relax, better quality of sleep, and could possibly encourage others to try a routine as well! Remember that not everyone is the same. Some people need a fully scheduled to day to reap the benefits, however some may not. Do what works best for you! And make sure to squeeze a massage in with us some time in your planning 😉

We wanted to share this article and what it entails to bring more awareness to mental health and well-being. This article shares 11 tips and suggestions for your overall wellness:
1. Be nice to yourself! If you’re not able to do this or struggling with being nice to yourself, do something nice for someone else. After, compliment yourself on doing it!
2. Exercise: a regular exercise can boost one’s mood, increase concentration, and alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression.
3. Eat healthy: healthy eating means a healthy also means having a healthy attitude towards food.
4. Sleep Well: sleeping well also refers to when you sleep and the quality of that sleep. Dr.Eleanor McGlinchey, sleep health expert, recommends that you wake up at the same time everyday - even weekends and holidays!
5. Put the screens to sleep before you go to bed
6. Breathe Deep : and breathe out just as slowly
7. Write down ways to relax : maybe schedule some time out to get a massage 😉
8. Find Support (and be Supportive): this could be friends or family or it could even be a counselor, a primary care doctor, or a mental health professional
9. Take small steps: set goals, then draw the dotted like from point a to point b to point c
10. Connect with Others : friends, family, pets, etc, spending quality time can boost positive feelings and ward off depression and anxiety.
11. Be nice to yourself : because it’s just so important 🤎

As we mention on Monday, Gua Sha is rooted in traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), but what are the benefits?
It is said that Gua Sha is great for musculoskeletal problems, especially majors ones like tightness in the shoulders, legs, and back. It can also help in alleviating tension headaches, migraines, neck pain, or swelling in the body! Because Gua Sha is focused on the flow of “qi” through the body, it even help with anxiety, fatigue, and insomnia since it works to release the areas of stagnant energy. To help things along, you can apply lotion or a serum before doing Gua Sha to have the tool glide across the skin much easier.
