FALL SPORTS REGISTRATION LINK BELOW!!
Big updates and changes for Onslow this fall! Please read the following information carefully.
Fall Games will be held November 13-15 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
As of now, we will offer:
Bocce (Teams, Doubles, Singles)
Golf (Skills)
Softball (Team, 15 players max)
Softball (Skills)
Practice Schedule Changes:
To better prepare our athletes, SONC is updating its practice schedule. The first day of the games can be more active than the entire season combined, with over eight hours of constant activity, including the dance. Therefore, we are moving to a new system:
OLD: 8 weeks, 1 practice per week (1 hour per practice)
NEW: 10 weeks, 2 practices per week (1.5 hours per practice)
As always, selection for State-level events is not based on skill, but on attendance, independence, and adherence to the SONC Code of Conduct.
Under this new system, missing one practice (attending 19 out of 20) is not an automatic denial. Each case will be handled individually at the discretion of the Head Coach and Local Coordinator.
We ask for your patience and grace as these changes will be an adjustment for everyone. This decision was not made by the coaches, coordinator, or parents, so please remain kind to our all-volunteer staff.
New Online Registration Portal:
The required medical and participation documentation is coming to the 21st century!
Athlete medical information and participation registration will now be done on the new online SONC Portal. Once the portal is live on August 25, 2025, we will assist everyone with registering for an account and submitting their forms.
All ARFs from last season will expire on August 31, regardless of their completion date.
The old APP program, which required a physical, is still valid for its 3-year duration. However, those athletes will still be required to complete an online portal form, as this will be the new athlete management and tracking system.
If you or someone you know does not have access to the internet via a cellphone or computer, the Local Coordinator will travel to you to ensure that technology does not exclude anyone.
