Visit some of our partners like N.C. Cooperative Extension - Onslow County Center, New River YMCA - Onslow, Blue Cross Blue Shield, 5 Star Nutrition Jacksonville, and many more.

We will also be providing FREE health screenings and education, 2 rounds of an Easter Egg Hunt, face painting, food trucks, music, and games.

On Saturday, some of our teammates attended the 2026 Swansboro Area Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase. At the event, our team provided stroke and heart health education as well as stroke screenings to the community.

We’re proud to announce our partnership with the Onslow Hispanic Latino Association to offer a hospital tour — now available in Spanish!

This collaboration helps us better connect with and serve our Spanish-speaking community by making important information about our services more accessible and easier to navigate. What may seem like a small step is actually a meaningful stride toward ensuring every member of our community feels informed, welcomed, and supported.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible team at OHLA for their partnership, guidance, and dedication throughout this project. We’re grateful for the opportunity to work together to make care more accessible for all.

What a day! 🤩

As a county, we managed to train 1,549 people across four locations, and as a state, we trained over 19,700 people.

We are so honored to have been able to participate and teach members of our community such an important, life-saving skill.

Thank you to our incredible partners, Onslow Emergency Medical Services, Coastal Carolina Community College, the RACE-CARS Trial from Duke University and 30 other North Carolina counties, for collaborating on such an important project!

And to those who came out to learn, thank you! We could not have done this without you! 💙

Shauna, RN, in our ICU, was recognized for her exceptional care and compassion. Shauna's commitment to her patients is truly remarkable, exemplified by her offer to assist with a patient’s nail care. When the ICU team complimented the patient’s fingernails, Shauna proactively offered to do them herself, using materials provided by the patient’s husband, after her shift had ended. This extraordinary display of dedication is a testament to Shauna’s unwavering commitment to patient care. The husband was deeply appreciative of the exceptional care and attention they received at Onslow, particularly in the ICU, and it brought great comfort knowing that his wife was in capable hands.

Onslow Memorial Hospital and Onslow Emergency Medical Services are partnering with the RACE-CARS Trial from Duke University and 30 North Carolina counties in a statewide attempt to set a world record by training 30,000 people.
