After a head injury, many patients are told their MRI is “normal.”
But not all MRI protocols are the same.
A standard brain MRI evaluates structure — bleeding, masses, swelling.
An MRI Brain with DTI includes advanced sequences that assess white matter tracts and can detect subtle axonal injury that may not appear on routine imaging.
