Schedule your Telemedicine visit today! Effective 3/18/2020 we are following CDC recommendations and supporting video conferencing appointments from the convenience of your home if you have mobile phone with a camera. We can do this for most existing follow up appointments and some new patient appointments under the medical direction of the physician. Some patients will still need to come in person and we have instituted deep cleaning and other protocols to ensure a safe visit. Contact our office for more details.

COVID-19 NOTICE: patients exhibiting flu-like symptoms should NOT come to their appointment but call to reschedule their appointment at a later date. Our office has instituted additional site protocols to ensure the safety of all patients during regularly scheduled visits. Refer to www.CDC.gov for further information. If you exhibit flu-like symptoms, you should contact your primary care physician office or call "911" for further instruction.

Many of the same things that promote great heart health are also great for your brain. Regular physical exercise improves circulation which is important to feeding your brain. Participating in a book club, doing sodoku and crossword puzzles is "working out" for your brain and helps keep you cognitively sharp. Dear Esteemed Patients, Friends and Colleagues:

It has been a privilege and an honor to provide for your neurological care and to serve the greater Jacksonville area for over 15 years. After much consideration, I have accepted an offer to work for Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, Indiana to support headache research, education and policy making that will positively impact millions of lives globally. This job requires that my family relocate to Indianapolis in July 2018.

Continuing to support your healthcare needs is extremely important to me and I am pleased to be leaving you in the capable hands of the First Coast Neurosciences (FCN) team. FCN has medical professionals with a combination of over thirty-five years of experience treating all types of neurological conditions. Your care will be under the supervision of Dr. Steven Toenjes, Nurse Practitioners Amy Toenjes and Amanda Hare, and Physician Assistant Meredith Hawthorne as well as other qualified professionals that may join the team in coming months. I have absolute confidence in this team having personally selected and worked with them and I know you will too!
