Purity culture is sadly still alive and well all over the world. The beliefs and pressure may be subtle or overt, but it is real. It has always been about control, fear, and misogyny, not values or morals. It’s damaging to boys and girls, to men and women. Mostly to girls and women.

I’ve been thrilled and surprised by how much these have helped me. It can also be helpful for stopping or transitioning to a lower, maintenance dose of GLP’s.

My clients and friends who are using this particular brand have also been really happy with it and have seen the positive effects I’ve mentioned above. I always recommend starting at the smallest dose.

Like all supplements, there are many sources, not all of them safe or reputable, especially the injectable form, which I’m NOT using. You may read that only the injectable form helps with the positive effects I’ve mentioned or that the oral form only helps with gut health but I have not experienced either of this to be true. Like with anything you put in your body, please do your own research.

These symptoms can be vague. They can be obvious or subtle. They can be signs of a multitude of physical, emotional and spiritual issues. All of these are just part of why vitamin, mineral, herbal, homeopathic and even medication side effects can be so tricky to detect.

There isn’t a lot of accurate information available about optimal dosing, which depends on symptoms, underlying issues, weight, sensitivities, absorption ability, genetics and many other factors. Blood tests aren’t necessarily accurate because high blood levels may not mean that your levels are unhealthy, it might mean that they are actually low because the nutrients aren’t being processed or absorbed.

It can happen to anyone’s child, even if you are an incredibly caring, responsible, attentive parent. The guilt can be overwhelming, even if there is nothing you could have done to prevent it. My experience wasn’t typical and it was with other kids at school, often in front of teachers who did nothing. I was mortified and didn’t tell anyone until much later.

I still do it more often than I should, even though I know better and have worked on self love and self acceptance for decades. We are always a work in progress and that’s okay.
