September is PCOS awareness month. Have you ever wondered if it’s normal for you to miss your period or for it to come later than usual? Do you have acne, hair on your chin, or weight that you can’t seem to lose no matter how hard you try? These are just a few of the symptoms we see with polycystic ovarian syndrome, and there are ways to help with all of them! It’s important to know the symptoms and advocate for yourself and your periods! 💛

We want to highlight what it is exactly that our surgeons (Dr Guha and Dr Wechter) do day in and day out! They perform robotic surgery with Baptist Health that allows them to do minimally invasive surgeries that offer major relief, from hysterectomies to endometriosis resection, and so much more. They are fellowship trained in this type of procedure, meaning they had extra training to ensure they were masters of this particular technique. You can sleep well during surgery and afterwards knowing you had their hands on the robot.

Common symptoms of PCOS include irregular periods and excessive hair growth on the chin, neck, belly, etc. Help us spread awareness!
