This is for informational purposes only. We are NOT actively getting into weight loss. We are busy enough with laser hair removal, hormone replacement therapy (With or without pellets depending on symptoms,), and gynecology. However, I thought that it would be important for some of you to know that this discount applies because many women I’ve seen are paying up to $300 -400 per month for these medication’s. Many patients are buying them through a compound pharmacy when their insurance will actually cover the product for 25 dollars.

We still have the special going on for $300 for small areas (up to 8 treatments) bikini line, chin, lower lip, and under arms, but we are now adding large areas as well. Keep in mind these specials are for Walsh Gynecology patients or for future patients. (Dr. Sievert’s patients are eligible through June). The prices are for eight treatments. Not per treatment. Most Med spas charge between 2500-3500 for upper and lower legs. Our $900 price is a significant discount.

Make sure you have an annual exam. There have been some misinformation in the news media due to Pap smear recommendations changing. However, every woman needs a yearly exam performed by her gynecologist.

New Flu strain.

There is a new strain of influenza called Subclade K that spread rapidly over the holidays. This new strain is driving an estimated 90% of flu cases across the country and is certainly having an effect on northeast Florida.

Our own system director of Infectious Diseases for Baptist Health, Dr. Shalika Katugaha, recently appeared on First Coast News, where she shared that some of the symptoms of this new flu include:

*fever
*chills
*headaches
*extreme fatigue
*nausea
*vomiting
*sore throat and congestion

Dr. Katugaha also recommends getting a flu shot because while it is not a perfect match for the new strain, it will "prevent you from getting severely ill, needing hospitalization, or even worse." Dr. Katugaha also recommends taking daily preventative measures like washing hands, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home when sick.

This map from the CDC shows that Subclade K was spiking just before the holidays, and experts suggest that cases may still be on the rise. Be sure to schedule your flu shot if you haven't already!

Starting in February 2026. The prices listed are for eight sessions. I wanted to clarify, because many practices charge between 200 and $350 per session. We also consider under arms and Bikini line to be small areas and most practices consider those areas to be medium size areas and charge more. I’ll be posting a few videos, once we get started, of actual laser hair removal procedures, as well removal of pigment areas.

If you receive an envelope from us in the mail this week or next week, do not throw it in the trash. We are sending out refund checks for patients that have overpaid. This often happens when multiple claims are received by the insurance company from different providers, and the deductible is met and not recorded in the insurance company computer system in a timely matter.
