🌱✨ This afternoon, our non-nappers were eager to head outside and continue planting our corn kernels from last year’s field trip to Greene Fields Farm! 🌽🚜 So these kernels are extra special! Each child took turns placing three kernels into the soil, then gently tucked them in with a cozy blanket of dirt using a shovel. πŸ§‘β€πŸŒΎπŸ’š

Before heading home for the weekend, some of our friends went back outside to help care for our gardenβ€”pulling weeds 🌿 and giving our plants a good drink of water πŸ’§ to make sure they stay happy and healthy.

We love seeing our little learners work together, caring for their garden while learning along the way. 🌼🀝 Wishing every MILIZO family a beautiful and relaxing weekend! 🌞

Today our little learners explored Kandinsky-inspired flower art 🌸🎨✨

They practiced gluing βœ‚οΈ while creating leaves and flowers using shapes in sequence πŸ”΅πŸ”ΊπŸŸ‘. Each child chose their own colors 🌈 and shapes, designing unique masterpieces inspired by Kandinsky’s style πŸ–ŒοΈ.

It took lots of concentration 🧠 and visual perception πŸ‘€ as they carefully arranged their shapesβ€”some working from biggest to smallest ⬇️, others experimenting from smallest to biggest ⬆️.

The results? Absolutely magical βœ¨β€¦and a little β€œdizzy” πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« to look at (their words, not ours!) πŸŽ¨πŸ’«πŸŒΌ

We love seeing creativity πŸ’‘, focus 🎯, and individuality bloom 🌷 in every project!

By the time this post goes live, our little learners might be enjoying dinner 🍽️, playing their favorite sport ⚽, or simply spending sweet time with their families πŸ’•.

As we were cleaning up late this afternoon after the last child was picked up at 4:30pm, we came across two special drawings 🎨 and wondered who created them. It turns out they were made by their friend Rorie πŸ’–.

In the middle of our busy afternoonβ€”right after snack and all the excitement that followedβ€”Swayze and Lillian had no idea that a thoughtful friend was quietly sitting at the art table, carefully drawing and even trying to spell their names πŸ“βœ¨. Rorie had every intention of sharing them, but with all the reading and writing fun, she simply forgot. No worries at all, sweet girlβ€”your teachers made sure to keep them safe 🀍.

As MILIZO teachers, moments like this truly melt our hearts πŸ₯Ή. Even during the joyful classroom chaos, our students still think of one another, taking time to create, care, and connect. It’s in these little acts of kindness and friendship that the biggest memories are made 🌈.

It’s hard to believe the school year is almost over πŸŽ“. Soon, our little learners will go their separate ways, but the friendships they’ve built and the memories they’ve created here at MILIZO will stay in their hearts forever πŸ’«.

🌱🌞 We Had the Best Planting Day Ever! 🌼

We have been doing such a great job taking care of our plants by watering them every week πŸ’§. Today, we saw they outgrew their pots πŸͺ΄βž‘️πŸͺ΄, so we worked together 🀝 to give them bigger homes to grow into. It was a lot of work πŸ’ͺ, but teamwork makes the dream work ✨!

Next up… planting time in the garden! 🌼🌳
🌸 We planted 2 flower bushes
🌳 We planted 2 miniature trees
πŸ˜… We did lots of digging and hard work

Then it was time for onions! πŸ§…
Each of us:
πŸ•³οΈ Dug a hole
πŸ§… Put our onion seed in
🌱 Covered it with soil
πŸ’¦ Gave it a good spray of water
We weren’t done yet! πŸ˜„

We wanted to plant wildflowers 🌼🌷🌻, so:
🌾 We grabbed handfuls of seeds and tossed them
🌱 Covered them with potting soil
πŸ’§ Watered them together
⏰ We worked all the way until 1 PM β€” it took all of us working together! πŸ™Œ

πŸŽƒ Surprise moment!
While planting, we saw our pumpkins from last fall at Green Fields Farm started sprouting! πŸŒ±πŸŽ‰ We were so excited and made sure to water them so they can keep growing πŸ’§πŸ’›

🍎 We took a lunch break and came back to finish our work πŸ’ͺ

It was an exhausting day 😴 but so much fun learning in the sun β˜€οΈ with our hands in the dirt and big smiles on our faces 😊🌿

🌟 Super Star Number Writer Alert! πŸ”’βœοΈ πŸ“š

Beck, our 3Β½-year-old star 🌟, has been so determined to write her numbers 1–100 πŸ”’βœοΈβ€”and it’s been amazing to watch her check her work and fix mistakes all by herself πŸ”βœ”οΈ. That kind of focus, persistence, and confidence πŸ’ͺ🧠 is something truly special πŸ’–.

We are SO proud of your hard work, Beck! πŸŽ‰πŸ‘ Keep shining and keep learning! πŸŒˆπŸ“šβœ¨

This morning we listened to the book β€œThe Carrot Seedβ€πŸ“–πŸ₯•. We talked about what a carrot seed needs to grow, like water πŸ’§, sunlight β˜€οΈ, and patience ⏳. Then in the art center, we painted 🎨, glued βœ‚οΈ, and made our very own little carrots πŸ₯•, just like the one in the story!

πŸ“πŸŒ± Strawberry Plant Fun! πŸŒ±πŸ“

This morning was full of fun and learning! 🌞✨ We learned all about the strawberry plant and even enjoyed some delicious strawberries for our morning snack πŸ˜‹πŸ“

In art 🎨, we colored and painted the dirt and roots brown 🀎, then added green stems and leaves πŸ’šπŸŒΏ. We finished our plants by adding a flower 🌼 and bright red strawberries πŸ“.

Everything turned out amazing! πŸ˜πŸ‘ We are so proud of all the hard work and creativity today! πŸ’•

Reflecting on last year, Nora joined us only occasionally as a drop-in student πŸ“…. At that time, she was just beginning to develop foundational skills like holding a pencil ✏️ and recognizing and writing her first name at only two years old πŸ‘§.

Today, as a full-time student at MILIZO πŸŽ“, Nora has made remarkable progress 🌟. She can write her numbers from 1 to 50 πŸ”’ and independently write both her first and last name with confidence πŸ“πŸ‘.

We are incredibly proud of Nora’s growth πŸ’– and her enthusiasm for learning πŸ“šβœ¨. We look forward to seeing all that she will accomplish in the coming school year πŸš€πŸŽ‰.

Feeling so grateful today πŸ’›

A big thank you to Lena’s grandparents for the delicious fresh fruits β€” such a thoughtful and healthy treat! And thank you, Nora, for the applesauce, cereal, and cheese puffs β€” you always know how to bring a little extra joy (and snacks!) into our day.

We appreciate you all so much!❀️

πŸ§ βž–βœ¨ Archie is practicing his mental math skills like a champ! βœ¨βž–πŸ§

Today he worked on subtraction and used his amazing cognitive skills to solve the problem:
πŸ‘‰ 5 - 3 = 2

But here’s the cool part πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘‡
Archie used reverse thinking πŸ”„ to figure it out! He asked himself:
β€œWhat number added to 3 equals 5?” πŸ€”βž•
πŸ’‘ And just like that β€” he got the answer: 2! πŸŽ‰

Not only did he solve it, but he also showed confidence πŸ’ͺ😊 knowing it was correct. That’s some powerful thinking right there! 🧩🌟

πŸ‘ Fantastic work, Archie! Keep rocking those numbers πŸ”’πŸŽΈ β€” we are so proud of you!

πŸŽ’πŸŽ Kindergarten, here he comes β€” totally ready! πŸš€

Hi everyone!! It’s us, the Little Learners!! 🌱

Guess what?! Our seeds are growing!! πŸŒΏπŸ’š We’ve been taking such good care of them by giving them water πŸ’§, sunlight β˜€οΈ, and lots of love πŸ₯°β€¦ and now they are SPROUTING!! πŸŒ±πŸŽ‰

In art today, we got to be super creative! 🎨 We used clay to mold and build our very own seed sprouts πŸ‘πŸŒΏ It was squishy, fun, and a little messy πŸ˜„ We tried our best to make them look just like our real sprouts!

We’re so excited because next week… we get to PAINT them!! πŸŽ¨πŸ–ŒοΈπŸŒˆ We can’t wait to add lots of colors and make them beautiful!
We are growing just like our seedsβ€”little by little every day πŸ’šπŸŒ±

Stay tuned to see our colorful creations!! πŸ‘€
