Today is National C-Section Day, and as doulas, we want to take a moment to honor and celebrate belly births 🤍

Some moms choose a C-section from the very beginning. Other times, situations arise during pregnancy or labor that change the plan unexpectedly, whether due to breech presentation, medical needs, or last-minute decisions to ensure the safest arrival for baby.

No matter how it comes to be, one thing is always true: a C-section is still birth. These mothers grew, nurtured, and carried their babies—and they birthed them with strength, courage, and love. Their stories matter and they deserve to feel seen, honored, and celebrated.

As we reflect on this year, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. Serving families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum is truly sacred work—and we don’t take it lightly.

In the perfect moment—not a second too early or too late—God chose to enter our world the most human way possible: through birth. Through labor. Through a mama’s body.

Jesus didn’t arrive as a king in a palace. He came as a baby, born of woman, so that we could be brought into God’s family.

This Christmas, as we celebrate that holy birth, we remember the heart of the gospel: Jesus came to redeem us. To bring us home. To make us daughters and sons of the Most High God.

That’s the gift of Christmas—not just a baby in a manger, but the door flung wide open to relationship with our Creator.

✨ Exciting Announcement for Our Beloved Birth & Beyond Family! ✨

We are thrilled to officially welcome two incredible collaborative doulas into the Beloved Birth & Beyond Collective!

Lead Doulas Kahla and Natalie are taking on a lighter client load over the next few years. But it has remained our heart to continue offering the same level of Christ-centered, compassionate care that so many families have come to love.

That’s why we’re joining forces with two familiar faces in the birth world—both of whom run their own doula practices and bring deep passion, experience, and values that beautifully align with our mission.

✨O N E✨year ago today, Kahla and I took a leap of faith to start the collective. We felt called to join forces in order to best serve families in their most precious moments, and what a journey it’s been. 🥹

78 births later, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

78 times we’ve witnessed the miracle of new life.

78 families who trusted us to walk alongside them.

78 reminders of how blessed we are to do this sacred work.

Every contraction, every first cry, every moment of meeting baby for the first time - we’ve been honored to witness such beauty.

What a privilege to serve in the space where love multiplies and families grow.

We’re so grateful for how we’ve grown beyond what we ever imagined. Thank you to every family who invited us into their story. Thank you to our community who supports us, encourages us, and celebrates with us.

Here’s to trusting the journey ahead and all the beautiful beginnings yet to come! Our hearts are full. 🤍

We loved getting to grab lunch with Janet—a talented birth doula, postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and mental health counselor! Her heart for mamas and her wealth of wisdom are such a gift to our community.

Building relationships with fellow birth workers reminds us that we are better together—and that when we each walk in our God-given callings, families are so beautifully blessed. ❤️🙌
