As we reflect on this year, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. Serving families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum is truly sacred work—and we don’t take it lightly.

In the perfect moment—not a second too early or too late—God chose to enter our world the most human way possible: through birth. Through labor. Through a mama’s body.

Jesus didn’t arrive as a king in a palace. He came as a baby, born of woman, so that we could be brought into God’s family.

This Christmas, as we celebrate that holy birth, we remember the heart of the gospel: Jesus came to redeem us. To bring us home. To make us daughters and sons of the Most High God.

That’s the gift of Christmas—not just a baby in a manger, but the door flung wide open to relationship with our Creator.

✨ Exciting Announcement for Our Beloved Birth & Beyond Family! ✨

We are thrilled to officially welcome two incredible collaborative doulas into the Beloved Birth & Beyond Collective!

Lead Doulas Kahla and Natalie are taking on a lighter client load over the next few years. But it has remained our heart to continue offering the same level of Christ-centered, compassionate care that so many families have come to love.

That’s why we’re joining forces with two familiar faces in the birth world—both of whom run their own doula practices and bring deep passion, experience, and values that beautifully align with our mission.

✨O N E✨year ago today, Kahla and I took a leap of faith to start the collective. We felt called to join forces in order to best serve families in their most precious moments, and what a journey it’s been. 🥹

78 births later, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

78 times we’ve witnessed the miracle of new life.

78 families who trusted us to walk alongside them.

78 reminders of how blessed we are to do this sacred work.

Every contraction, every first cry, every moment of meeting baby for the first time - we’ve been honored to witness such beauty.

What a privilege to serve in the space where love multiplies and families grow.

We’re so grateful for how we’ve grown beyond what we ever imagined. Thank you to every family who invited us into their story. Thank you to our community who supports us, encourages us, and celebrates with us.

There’s something so special about connecting with other women who are passionate about serving families through every stage of the birth journey.

We loved getting to grab lunch with Janet—a talented birth doula, postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and mental health counselor! Her heart for mamas and her wealth of wisdom are such a gift to our community.

Building relationships with fellow birth workers reminds us that we are better together—and that when we each walk in our God-given callings, families are so beautifully blessed. ❤️🙌

Sometimes a cesarean is needed due to:

🤍 Breech positioning

🤍 Placenta previa (when the placenta covers the cervix)

🤍Placental abruption (when the placenta detaches too early)

🤍 Fetal distress, like abnormal heart rate patterns

🤍 Umbilical cord issues

🤍 Failure to progress after days of labor

🤍 A previous C-section or uterine surgery that makes vaginal birth riskier

🤍 Maternal infections

🤍 Other conditions that put mom or baby at risk

And yes — sometimes, a mom chooses a planned C-section for reasons that are personal, emotional, or based on a past experience.

Either way, it’s birth. It’s powerful. And it’s yours.

April is Cesarean Awareness Month
💗 Celebrating the many beautiful ways babies are born 💙

As doulas, we are honored to walk alongside families through all kinds of birth experiences—including cesarean births. Every birth is unique, and we are deeply grateful that C-sections exist to protect the health and safety of both mother and baby when needed.

Let’s be clear: how your baby is born does not define your strength.
Whether through vaginal birth or cesarean, the heart of every birth story is the same—a mother bringing life into the world. That is sacred.

If your birth didn’t go as planned, it’s okay to feel grief. You may have spent months envisioning something different. Give yourself permission to process and heal. Grieving the birth you hoped for doesn’t make you ungrateful—it makes you human.

No matter how your baby arrived, you did something incredible. You carried, nourished, and delivered life. You BIRTHED your baby. That’s something to honor and celebrate.

To our C-section mamas: we see your strength. We honor your courage. We are cheering for your healing.

Let’s continue to lift each other up—celebrating all birth stories with love, grace, and compassion.

You are not alone. You are not less. You are a mother, and your story matters.

We are thrilled to share that since the start of the new year, has had the honor of serving 18 incredible families! It has been an absolute privilege to support so many amazing mamas and families as they welcomed their precious babies into the world. 💕

Each birth is unique, and we are deeply grateful for the trust these families have placed in us as we walked alongside them during such a special time. We can’t wait to continue supporting even more families in the months ahead!
