Did you know? The American Cancer Society's statistics for 2022 show increased numbers for new prostate cancer cases and number of deaths due to prostate cancer. In fact, the numbers show a 40% increase in new cases when compared to 2021's estimates.
Dr. Christopher Williams, Urological Oncologist at Urology Consultants and WeCareJax Board Member says, "Despite what you've heard about Prostate Cancer not being very aggressive, and in some cases, people are saying you don't need to be screened anymore, whenever [268,000] people get diagnosed with something, it's not insignificant. And furthermore, when [34,000] people a year are dying of something, it's not insignificant."
