Reading with 3- and 4-year-olds today was extra special 💛

We shared the story of Nola from the Worry Woo series—a little creature who felt lonely and didn’t quite understand her feelings until she found friendship and connection.

As we read, we talked about what loneliness feels like, how it shows up in our bodies, and what we can do when we feel that way. The children made beautiful connections, naming feelings, sharing ideas, and showing so much empathy for Nola and for each other 🥹

Teaching young children about feelings is so important. When we give them the language to name their emotions, we help them build self-awareness, empathy, and healthy ways to connect with others. Stories like this open the door to big conversations in a gentle, age-appropriate way—and remind children that they are never alone.

So proud of these little learners and their big hearts!!

BIG NEWS from H2J Counseling 🙌🏻

I’m excited to share that H2J Counseling is moving from Anniston to Jacksonville! Beginning February 1st, the new office will be located at 30 Coffee Street SE Jacksonville, AL 36265!

This move is both exciting and bittersweet. I’ve truly loved my time in the Anniston community—it’s where H2J Counseling began, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m deeply grateful for the support, trust, and relationships built there.

At the same time, family is incredibly important to me, and this transition allows me to be closer to home and closer to my baby, which means everything. Being rooted in family helps me continue showing up fully for the work I love and the people I serve.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. I’m looking forward to continuing this next chapter in Jacksonville, with the same care and commitment you know from H2J Counseling! 🤍

Tuesday's are my days in the school. They are heavy - heavier some days more than others. The stories. The innocent faces that have lived through more trauma than they should have.

"I want to give this to you because it says love and I love you"

The sweetest kiddo. The best reminder. Even on the hard days of this job, I am reminded why I do what I do!
