Dr Robi E Tamargo, PsyD As a clinical psychologist, Dr. Robi Tamargo has a treatment approach that provides support and practical feedback.

Dr. Tamargo completed her clinical internship through the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, serving 5 years on active duty as a Naval Psychologist earning the rank of LCDR. Leaving active duty in 1995, to start her private practice in Manhattan Beach California, Dr. Tamargo relocated to Reston, Virginin where she practiced from 2002-2013 - she simultaneously served as a Navy Reservist at the National Naval Medical Center & has 17 years as a US Navy Reservist. Moving her private practice to Ponte Vedra Beach in 2014, she continues to provide psychotherapy and psychological assessments for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has added a State-of-the-Art Neurocognitive Brain Training Laboratory to her Ponte Vedra Beach office where she treats ADHD, Learning Disorders (Reading, Spelling, Writing, Math), and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). This laboratory is also available for "Brain Brightening" for gifted and talented children, teens, and adults or anyone who wants to optimize their intellectual potential, in addition to our growing senior population who wants to protect their brains against the onset of Alzheimer's Disease. Dr. Tamargo received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, attended Loyola College in Maryland, and received both a Master of Arts in Child Psychology and a Doctor of Psychology Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology at the University of Hartford. Honors include: Decorated Desert Storm-Era Veteran, Honor Graduate Naval Officer - Office Indoctrination School Newport, Rhode Island, US Naval Institute Award winner, Psi Chi Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society, Truman Scholar, Scholar Athlete, UMBC Hall of Fame inductee, numerous Collegiate athletic honors including MVP awards & school records - UMBC Field Hockey and Lacrosse, & two-time All-American. Dr Tamargo is happily married, the proud parent to two daughters, and has enjoyed coaching both girls field hockey and soccer in her community.
