Watching from the Audience… 👁️

After a whirlwind few days at the National conference in Washington, DC—with over a dozen presentations of mine across venues—today, I share a different perspective.

Not from the podium… but from the audience.

Watching both my children present their papers, I found myself simply being a father.

Proud. Quiet. Grateful.

Seeing them think, speak, and stand with confidence—each carving their own path—was more fulfilling than any lecture I could give.

Encouraged along the way by my Colleagues and Industry —something I value deeply.

Some moments… achievement steps aside, and legacy takes the stage.

As I head home this Monday, I feel re-energized—not by what I delivered, but by what I witnessed.

After hours of surgical planning on Sunday for worldwide🌎 patients arriving today🛬, one of the cases remained on my mind— a patient from the Bahamas with 10 years of blinding keratoconus complications.

And while strolling the beach, I formulated a surgical strategy and executed it today to take this wonderful nurse from 10 years of blinding Keratoconus complications straight to Vision.
