Fuller Performance and Recovery

Fuller Performance and Recovery Each session is customized through a test-treat-retest methodology that includes movement assessment, strategic manual therapy, and movement recommendations.

Services include Orthopedic Sports Massage and Adhesion Release Methods (ARM), a highly precise, evidence-informed treatment aimed at identifying and reducing musculoskeletal adhesion, one of the most common and overlooked sources of pain and restricted movement. New client bookings are scheduled on Thursdays, with other appointment times available by request. (MA #108180)

How do I know where to start your session?

One of the key parts of Adhesion Release Methods is the test–treat–retest system, and it all starts with provocative range of motion tests. These movements are designed to let the body talk. By guiding the body through specific motions that reproduce pain, tightness, or restriction, we get important clues about where adhesions may be limiting normal movement.

Instead of guessing where to start treatment, these tests help identify which structures are most responsible for the symptoms you’re feeling. That information guides the session so we can begin in the area most likely contributing to the problem. Once the adhesions are treated, we retest the movement to see how the body responds. It’s a systematic way to track progress.

1️⃣ Straight Leg Raise - tests the sciatic nerve
2️⃣ Knee Flexion Hip Extension - tests the femoral nerve
(These are not the only 2 tests I use)

Range of motion (ROM) is measured, and we attack the area with the most restriction in ROM first - even if that’s not where the pain is presenting. Many times the source of the pain is upstream.

⚠️ Adhesion is one of the most overlooked causes of chronic pain

What’s adhesion?
🔎 Adhesion is a glue-like scar tissue that sticks muscles, nerves, and soft tissue together, limiting movement, creating compensations, and causing pain.

Adhesion Release Methods often looks different from other types of bodywork, and that’s by design. The setup is everything.

Instead of simply pressing into an area, the body is positioned very intentionally to place the adhesion under the right amount of tension while the treatment is applied along a specific vector.

By combining tension and direction, we’re able to target and break down adhesions more effectively, restoring proper slide between structures and helping the body move the way it’s supposed to again. It might look a little unusual from the outside, but that precise setup is what makes the work so effective.

Here demonstrates the depth, vector and tension set needed to treat the hip capsule.

When your client is flexible enough to be your CA 😅

Sped up 3x bc slow is smooth and smooth is fast! 🐌

Been working with on doing deep adhesion release at her femoral nerve. Her initial symptoms included tightness, pulling, and feeling misaligned deep in her abdomen and groin.

We’ve been attacking this adhesion making good progress every session, which is measured by test-treat-retest. Jacque’s range of motion continues to increase while her pain symptoms decrease.

Please check Jacque out for therapy in Jax!

Studio outtakes of me palpating foot. We’re working on a very large adhesion found at the 3rd metatarsal. This video is sped up 5x to give you an idea of how much time I spend feeling around. Slow is smooth; smooth is fast. 🐌

A huge part of Adhesion Release Methods involves spending time palpating in order to distinguish tone (muscle tightness) from true adhesion. This is what makes ARM different and more effective than massage. We don’t treat tone with ARM because tone is a symptom of adhesion. And we know by now that treating symptoms doesn’t provide lasting relief.

HUGE HIP CAPSULE RELEASE ‼️

This client came in with back pain, but after putting him through some ARM provocative tests, I knew we’d need to treat the hip capsule. We got huge relief in only 3 passes, with the last pass tensioning and breaking down a large adhesion at the hip capsule resulting in immediate relief. The “pop” the client mentions is literally that adhesion breaking down in real time under a tension set.

The hip capsule release was followed by some femoral nerve release at the inguinal area. Post-treatment his kneeling hip extension on this side went from 8” to 11” — 3” range of motion improvement PAIN FREE!

Thank you for trusting me with your bodywork 🙏🏻
