Ok folks, we are officially one year into the ShadyRivers project. A lot has changed: the name, the carpeting (the old stuff was yucky), and even the colors (there were none before - at all). Practically everything… other than the location. Melissa tried to move the building to the Bahamas but we've found that it's quite heavy. And it doesn't float.

However, the most significant and important thing that has changed is the residency at ShadyRivers. We now have some great people living here. 5 great people. That being said, we have well over 300 friends on Facebook, and still 6 available rooms. That's where you - our Facebook friends, can get in on the fun! There has to be one of you that fits the bill yourself, or knows an elder WNY resident looking for a great place to live and relax. The odds are certainly in our favor, but the deals are completely in yours! In the spirit of our one year anniversary, we are offering the next ShadyRivers resident a free first and last months rent with a 1 year lease!

I'm pleased to announce we've finally caught the culprit. With a full confession, we're pretty sure this is behind us. In the spirit of Thanksgiving and the fact that Henry(the turkey) is already dead, we've decided to let her keep him. Happy Thanksgiving from the ShadyRivers family. Safe travels.

We've taken a break from chasing the turkey killer. The ShadyRivers crew has taken over the mall for one day only. Stop and say hi. Tomorrow we continue to look for justice for our turkey!
